I never go over to other boards but I did just post on the Parks Board on that beer thread. I come back over here to the CB and see this thread. I am in shockI am just speechless. The father of corn stepping down as a mod. The man who got a thread of mine turned into a Classic. This is a very sad day. I need to gather my thoughts ..I will post something about this terrible situation tomorrow. I must go lay down now. if I post now I will surely hurt a lot of peoples feelings

Pete if you are looking for another mod I might be available..hey people dont look at me like thatcome on times are tough you know.

I too am one who posts infrequently, but Willy you are a big part of why I even bother to post at all. Your sense of fairness and reason, and you ability to communicate with such a variety of people have been a huge asset to the CB.

You in your role as a CB mod have meant a lot to me, I hope you know that. I wish you all the best. I too hope to one day have the good fortune to meet you and Maggie in real life (I'll be sure to bring a bottle of Nyquil for a toast)

Nothing like waking up at 4:30 in the morning, checking the boards and seeing this.
I rememeber being a newbie poster and venturing into a weeknight chat one night. I had no clue what I was doing and ventured off topic :rolleyes:

I was corrected by who ever was the host/hostess and felt like a round peg trying to fit in a square hole. Somehow that came up in a post later on and you responded to me not to take it personal, come on into Saturday night chat and all would be fine

Thus our friendship began. I have had the honor to work with you as a co-mod, I think we may have even hosted a chat or two together along the road. I have also had the honor of meeting you in person and playing a few slots together

Most important though, I treasure that I can call you my friend. Along the way we hit very few bumps in the road and the single one we did hit we worked out as two adults talking very frankly to each other privately. That further heightened my respect for you as a friend and a person. I do apologize for not properly responding to our latest correspondence from last week, I feel like I have been on a constant treadmill lately, I know you understand what I mean, but I can assure you I will respond now. Please enjoy yourself, be happy and continue to share your incredible sense of humor and insight with all of us.

I'm going to miss you Willy. Even though I wasn't a weekly visitor, I loved stepping into the Saturday chat hot tub, getting my adult beverage, and joining in the fun.

You and Marla did a great job of giving everyone a chance to get away from stress and just be silly for awhile.
