Just want to brag a little...

on my girls. This week has been great for them. On Monday, as we were leaving the school, my youngest dd's principal told us to look at the board in front of the school. There it was my dd's name along with one other girls on the board with the words...Congratulations! Perfect Writing Score! DD didn't even know what it was talking about but apparently the 3rd grade and 5th grade students had to take a writing exam (state test) a little while ago and DD received a perfect 3rd grade score!

Then yesterday, oldest DD (16) came home and announced that she had overcome her fear and sang solo in front of the choir. It was audition for regional choir and she made it!

We are so proud of them both!

Anyone else want to share a proud parent moment?

You must be so proud. Go out and celebrate! (But not like when I was 12 and got my period for the first time. I was horrified that my mom told my dad and he said we needed to go out for ice cream to celebrate ).

My K girls were both named Student of the Week in February. We were so excited for them! One was named for being outgoing (the one who wouldn't say boo to an adult when she was smaller); and the other for her sense of humor (but the teacher says it's appropriate, not class-clowny). Hannah also performed in the Girl Scout Talent Show this past weekend. She insisted on wearing a purple, sequined and feathered dress-up dress under her Daisy smock. But she was adorable!

Congratulations to your girls!! I think that is wonderful.

I'll bragg a little here on my DS15, he just made the baseball team at his high school. He goes to an all boy private HS and the sports teams there are very competitive to get on them. Their basketball team was rated 8th in the country. So we are very happy and proud!
