Just wait listed to purchase DVC!

Michelle is our guide also and she has been very patient and helpful with us. She has answered many questions from me! I don't think you need a referral for anything, but I'd be happy to give you my name to use! ;)

Good luck getting your points soon.

I just got off the phone with DVC and we are now wait listed to purchase DVC at the Beach Club. Our guide is Michelle McAllister. Anybody know her? They asked me if I had been referred by anybody. Do I need a referral? Has anybody recently been on the wait list with DVC for the BCV? If so, how long did you wait?

Michelle is our guide too, she's been fantastic. She was a joy to work with during the purchasing process and has been very attentive since we joined. If you'd like a referral I'd be happy to provide one just contact me via PM.

We purchased the Beach Club with an October use year in 2006 and waited for about 3 weeks. We increased our initial buy-in from 160 to 200 points and Michelle got us the new paperwork quick as a flash.

Congratulations on taking the plunge and enjoy your membership!

only had to wait about a week. my dvc rep is mike Johnson 1800 500 3991. He is very nice and dedicated. He seemed to be able to get points and was ontop of watching for points for me. My use year is february.

Mike is our rep too...very good guy. He helped us with a BCV add on earler this year (50 points), we got it in two weeks and also had 07 points! He really stays on top of things and is really good about getting back to you quickly even if it is just for a question.

We just got onto the BCV waitlist last month. We are looking for 150 points with a September use year. Our guide suggested that we break it into 2 75 point contracts as that might be easier to get. We shall see.

I have a couple of questions on resales.

I have been looking at the TTS site for a while and I have not seen contracts for a relatively small number of points suitable for an add-on. I am guessing that Disney can divide contracts but the resale folks can not. I did see some smaller contracts on the GMAC site and ...

I also wonder if Disney obtains resale points only through ROFR or if they buy back contracts directly. What would a guide say if you said you wanted to sell a contract.

Do the resale folks get their comission even if Disney uses their ROFR on the contract.

thanks

Those small point contracts go so fast that most never make it to the internet. We found ours by calling and asking - not waiting for them to be posted. Disney can devide the contracts, resale you must take it as it is. Good luck with your waiting lists, guys!!

contracts for a relatively small number of points suitable for an add-on.

Fill out one of the forms on their site, and it will get you on their email list. I get updates whenever they have new contracts, sometimes several times a week. I called as soon as I got an email that had a contract I wanted.

Yes, I know that now. I am waitlisted for October.

I was on a waitlist for BCV for 7 months for a June use year. Finally got my 35 add on points June 1st (yea!) but I lost out on 07 points.

We could buy up to 40 points for cash right now but finding a small contract with the UY we want (October) is difficult. I am waitlisted with all the relevant resellers for a small contract should one open up. Here's hopin... ;)
