Just visiting AKL. Need ps?

Hi all. I am usually up on all this kind of info but since I am not going this year I have trailed behind in info collection. A freind is going on a last minute trip and would like to go see the AKL. Is it open to all or do you still need to get a PS at Jiko or Boma to get on the porperty. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure when they started all that (I first read about the security here) because when we were there last Sept over Labor Day we drove right in and parked right up front and walked all around the inside. We were hoping to eat there but the wait was too long. It was kind of a last minute decision.

Thanks for the info. My friend is going to try it. He is taking poeple who have never been to WDW before and they have 3 days only! He is trying to cram alot in.
