Hi-
We went from Albany, NY to MCO on Feb 20th.
I hopped online to try to get our boarding passes at 12:01am.
I had some trouble because the site kept saying the reservation system was down.
Finally, I just decided to keep hitting back and re-submit and it worked.
There were four separate reservation numbers which were changed over the phone three weeks ago.
We all got A's.

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear you were able to get on-line boarding passes even though you had to split reservations over the phone. There was a question whether this would work.

Thanks for the update on how it's working. I'll be giving it a try in a week. Hope you had a great time!!!

Thanks SO much for sharing this info. I had our reservation split last week, so we have 2 different numbers. Maybe the bugs are getting worked out of the system (although I'm still not sure I want to stay up that late to try it.) Sounds like you got in fairly soon after midnight (there had been questions about which time zone SWA was using for check in.)

It is 12:01 in your local time zone. In other words, 12:01 from where you are leaving.

Thank you SOOOOO much for your report. I'm down to a matter of hours before trying it myself and was really hoping to hear some updated reports. I called SWA today and they said our flight only has 3 seats left so I'm setting the alarm for 11:45pm (assuming I can sleep at all) and hoping for those "A" passes! Thanks again!

I set the alarm for 11:50pm and started to try just before midnight---it gives a time error until 12:01am.

The trickiest part was when it says the reservation system is down. Just keep hitting back and then submit. It took 4-5 times doing this before the reservation would pop up. Then I had to do it again a couple times to get to the actual boarding pass.

Good luck!

Battleship Bob----We had the best time ever!! Thanks!

I was not able to get it to work for our trip two weeks ago. I set the alarm and tried shortly after midnight. I gave up, went back to bed (for a little while - LOL) and arrived at the airport at
5:00 a.m. for a 7:00 a.m. flight. We received "A" Boarding Passes, so I was happy.

What is it you actually get when you do it online? We just flew last week and I didn't notice anyone with anything different than the narrow boarding passes they give you.

I would love to be able to do this b/c my son will turn 5 before our next trip which means no more pre-boarding for us.

Thanks!

Hi-
Sorry-I haven't had a chance to hop on the net in a while.
We actually printed a regular size boarding pass---just on a full sheet of paper.
Worked great.

I am going to go out on a limb here, but unless you have a 6 am flight I would not really think it is necessary to get up at 12:01 am. I have gotten A passes as late as two or three hours in advance even AFTER the advent of on line boarding passes. I just somehow doubt hundreds of people are getting up at 12:01 to get a boarding pass.

I have a question.Ok we have 4 in our party 2 adults 2 kids (8 & 11 years old)what do i do to be able to print out our boarding passes?Do i do each persons reservation individually?Any suggestions to this situation? Thanks so much for your time and answers i do appreciate you all so very very much!

i just returned this weekend. i called swa right before my trip so that i could split all the reservations and get individual confirmation numbers. the morning we were to leave (flight was for 8:20am), i woke up at 5:30am and easily printed out our boarding passes. it was simple. the hard part was what to do for the return flight. we had no internet access. we arrived at mco 2 hrs in advance and got b passes.
