Just used Dollar's 50% Jeep promo...

And I am very happy to say we did not have any problems using it. I was a little concerned that they may not accept it,since, it was not the original coupon just a print out from mousesavers, but , as always I had nothing to worry about. They even gave us a choice to pick between a Durango or a Grand Cherokee.We chosed the Grand Cherokee and they gave us a red one. We noticed there were not that many red cars whcih made it easier to spot it in a crowded parking lot. Also, the Grand Cherokee has a lot of storage space for baggage and it was very comfortable.We paid the exact amount qouted in their website $169.00 and they did not push for us to buy extra insurance. We had friends traveling with us and they paid $211.00 for a Chevrolet Malibu they rented from Avis.We received great service from Dollar and will not hesitate to rent from them again.The 50% off deal cannot be beat and should not be missed!!

How long did you have to wait in line at the counter? Are you a Fastlane member?

Did you get to Dollar early or late? Our flight doesn't arrive until 5 p.m. on a Saturday and I'm afraid there won't be any Jeeps left. If there aren't, I hope they at least give us a comparable vehicle in size.

Was 169.00 your TOTAL price? My upcoming rental is showing 200.02 with taxes and all fees. I'm just wondering if I forgot to put a code in or something.

No, we are not fast lane members.We changed our reservation to Dollar a couple of days before our trip because of the coupon.

There was no line at the counter when we arrived around 3 PM.

Don't worry about not getting a Jeep like I said they also offered us a Durango.

Our rental fee was for 6 days for a ttl of $169.62.

I can't wait to go back!!!

How was the return at the airport? We have 3 small kiddies and I wanted to know how the return went, do I Have yo be dropped off w/ the kids or can we all just return and head for the checkin?

First, I like to start by saying today we received our fast lane card.It's a good thing too ,because, we will start to use Dollar now.

My DH dropped us off at the terminal and I was glad he did.It took him a while to get back,not because of Dollar,but, because there was only 1 elevator working. Who knew???I will suggest that he drops you off first with the kids....just in case,better safe than sorry.It would of taken us a while to go on that elevator with all the suitcases.

When you made your reservation through Dollar did the 50% off discount show on your rental quote or is that applied when you get the counter and show the coupon.
I tried plugging the code in for the discount, but it didn't accept it.

If it did not except the code, it is either sold out or passed the expiration date.

Very odd that they would offer a Durango at Jeep's expoense ?

Used the Jeep promotion and Dollar's Fastlane and everything went very smoothly. They gave us a white Durango with about 15,000 miles on it. Smelled a little smokey, but other than that a great vehicle. Plenty of room and wonderful to drive.

We also got the Dodge Durango instead of a jeep. Sounds like a trend here. I wonder how many jeeps are at MCO???

Actually I too am driving a Durango. DK Blue with about 12k miles on it from Dollar. With the Jeep promo

Ours was a white one with the extra seat in the back. My DS (14) is 6' so we flipped up one of the middle seats and the boys sat in the very last row so he could have some more leg room.

We used the Jeep promo with no problems. Arrived at MCO on 11/24 around 9:30 a.m., no line at the dollar counter got the keys and had a red Jeep. Return was on 11/29 around 2 p.m., check out was about 5 mins with no problem. We were very happy with Dollar.

I did the jeep rental because we'll be renting an ecv for my mom. Which do you think would be easier to get one in and out of, jeep or durango?

I have never been in one, but friends told me if they gave me a choice the Durango had more room. Hope this helps.
