Just used 17 giftcards to buy 2 PAPs by phone!

I just wanted everyone to know that it really is possible to use multiple giftcards to purchase DVC PAPs by phone!
I just used 17 $50 Giftcards to buy 2 PAPs.
I called Member Services and asked to be transferred to a ticketing office.
It was no problem. I was on hold between calls for 20 minutes.
The CM was awesome!
You need to call between 9-5 EST to get the ticketing office.

This makes me sad! I called yesterday and asked and asked and they told me no way can I use my GCs.

Oh well... congrats on those who were able to do it!

Ticketing office told me no also. 2 methods of payment only. 1 gift card and the rest in credit card.

All I did was call MS and said I needed to be transferred to the Ticketing office to purchase PAPs with a bunch of gift cards.
MS gave them all the info.
I was told NO PROBLEM at every step.
You have to go through MS but ask for a Ticketing Office.

I called to do that exact same thing (with 16 GCs) a few weeks ago and after being informed by 4 different CMs that I couldn't, I ended up paying by CC and having to sit on the gift cards. I really didn't want to spend an extra $800 at christmas season.

There is only one department that can do it.
The regular MS Department and regular AP Department can't do it.
It has to be done through MS by the Ticketing Office only opened 9-5.

All hope is not lost!!!

I called MS to explain the situation and I told them I felt I was misinformed...
Anyway, the CM I talked to still claimed she can't forward me to ticketting and that I can't buy thru ticketting directly...

Anyway, I now know they are mistaken, so here's what I did:

Called Ticketing office with the # above, option 5 and told the CM about my situation (I put my purchase on a CC because MS said they can't take my GCs).

He pulled up my record via my confirmation #, asked to confirm my membership info (#, name, address)

He took my 16 Gift Cards and applied a credit on my credit card corresponding to my total GC$.

I got a new confirmation #.

Yay!!!!

They took my 26 give cards for payment for my 3 DCV discounted PAP's no problem.

Whoo hoo net cost $330 a ticket after Target discount.

Could someone please explain to me how to get the reduced price for the gift cards from Target? I am going to WDW next week and would love to get that discount. Many Thanks.

The discount was a coupon target ran for the last two weekends. it was for a $10 gift card for a $50.00 purchase. If you churned the gift cards, and went thru multiple times, you could buy disney $50 cards for $40 AFTER THE $10 gc. It was on tall the dealsites, and worked for some people, but others had issues. since target will only accept 4 of the coupons per order, I went thru 5 times and bought 20 cards. If you used your target red card, you also got another 5% off the net purchase.
what is a PAP? I have to call and buy my tickets, but I am not a DVC member, only a DR card member.
Can I still call the ticket office?

Everyone should be able to call the Ticketing office.

PAP - Premium Annual Pass

DVC members get a discounted rate of $399 thru the end of the year. It is usually $425 with DVC discount, and $699 full price (all + 6.5% tax)

If you have a Target red card - debit or credit - you can still get gift cards at 5% off. A much smaller discount but it would save you about $21 on each
PAP.

I was able to get my PAP's by calling ticketing and pressing option number 5, using my multiple gift cards. Thank you to the original poster!

Only had one Disney gift card (my kids chipped in for Christmas and had it loaded with the amount needed to purchase my PAP) but did as suggested and called the ticketing and reservation number and pressed option #5. I spoke to a wonderful CM who not only emailed me a receipt but is also mailing me my voucher free of charge since my trip isn't until July
