Just Turned 21, Just Engaged, Just Married! A Trip FULL of Reasons to Celebrate!!

Just wanted to give a little trip update for you guys...for one thing, Chris and I leave in exactly 3 weeks from tonight! We won't be arriving in Disney until the next day but we will be in FL in 3 weeks from 10 pm tonight

THREE WEEKS!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

Also, I called on Monday and made our reservations for our engagement picture shoot! We're doing a 20 minute private photo session at the Polynesian and we'll use the pictures we get done on our Save the Date cards we're going to mail out. I'm really excited but also super nervous because Florida humidity (or any humidity for that matter) and my hair don't mix. I'm so scared my hair is going to just look horrendous and I'm going to hate all the pictures. I'm thinking that I'm going to go to the Poly with a wet head and get there early enough that I can blow dry it and straighten it in the bathroom there lol then at least I won't have as much time out in the humidity. Anyway, wish me luck that they turn out good! Here's the dress I bought for the shoot

Chris is going to wear some type of nicer dark blue shirt, either a polo or a button down, with khaki shorts. He could sweat in an icebox so I'm hoping we can find something that's a little more lightweight.

These pictures are going to turn out so cute! Is it pricey to do these solo photo sessions?

I also wanted to post some of the other things we have bought for this trip. Around Christmas time I bought myself this shirt

I love it! I also bought this one (I think this is it, if not it's similar lol) for Chris

Then, a few weeks ago we went and did some pre-trip shopping and we got another shirt each however, I can't find a picture of either of them online! Chris' is very similar to this except it's green

And mine I can't find anything even remotely close to anywhere online. Sorry lol

Several weeks ago Jen (JenAusty) posted on her PTR some Crocs that she and her mom bought for their upcoming trip. I'm pretty anti-Crocs but the one pair that she bought weren't ugly and everyone knows Crocs are comfy. So I ordered these for a great price on shoebuy.com

I was wearing them around the house a little and they're SOOO comfy! I'll be glad I have those walking around the parks so much, especially if it rains!

The last thing I wanted to add was that Chris and I are taking a tour while we're there! In December 2009 we took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and LOVED it. We were perusing the tour list and really wanted to the the Wild Africa Trek at AK but it's like over $200 a person with no Disney Visa discount so that was out. So, we're taking the Walt Disney: Marceline to the Magic Kingdom tour on Friday, June 10. It's a 3 hour tour and with my Disney Visa it only came to like $26 each. Chris was really the one who pushed to do another tour so that made me really happy!

Love the shirts and shoes! Like you, I'm pretty anti-croc... but those aren't bad at all! THUMBS UP FOR THE COMFORTABLE-NESS!!

I love your capris....I'm glad that 'the gang' thinks you won't be hot becdause i have several pair of similar capris packed.

Your dress is gorgeous, can't wait to see the pics. Keep you eye on the mens depts. My DH has a few nice polos that are very light weight for summer, so I know they're out there!

I can't wait to hear about this tour - I never heard of it....tours don't work too well for us with a 7 YO but one day....

Thank you! I checked out the mens dept at Old Navy today and I think I found something that he'll wear! I think you had to be 12 to go on this tour...it's a new one and KTTK was 16. Definitely one day you should try one though!

YAY again you the picture shoot! I forsure want to do this in a future trip with DH and I. I thought about it for this trip but I figured we have way to much going on right now and with it being my parents first time- things will be crazy enough! My hair is also really crazy! Try buying some hair products for humidity.. I know mine still goes crazy, but it does help. and I loveee your dress! I told my DM that I wanted to buy cute spring dresses or skirts for the trip and she said "you are going to wear a dress and then get on the rides?" Me-...."I guess not"... hehe

YAY for me being mentioned! and YAY for you guying those shoes! I told you they are amazing on the feet and they are cute on! I was actually looking at black when I bought mine but I couldn't resist the pink color and I have a pink shirt to wear at Disney that matches perfectly! I'm soo glad you like them and aren't disappointed! and I'm always glad when I can transform a non-croc lover into someone who likes them.
