i have a few questions...

1. a package consists of everything (room, tickets, dining) right? No -- you can choose to add dining or not add dining.
2. is there any chance of free dining in december? i looked at mousesavers and didn't see anything that mentioned it but i just want to make sure. 99.9% NO, never has been. Free dining was offered Aug/Sep 2005 and 2006 to fill rooms during hurricane season.

It doesnt look like they applied the code, for 2 adults and 1 child at the Poly GV my sister in law is paying 2999! Dec 9-16th. Try another CM! I did have the pincode but the CM gave me the code because it included the dining and tickets package in case I wanted to book any other times as I told her I was debating. I'm glad to see this code is working for some people, it feels so nice to have booked so early and not be waiting around for that general discount package.

I just went to the Disney site to verify my discount, I priced out on the site Dec 9-16th, Poly GV 8 day park hopper and dining package, my pricing came out to 4290.02. What I booked was the exact same package as above but with code my price was 3253.60! When I gave the CM my pin code she decided to see what she could do instead of me booking a room only with the discount to see if I could get the dining and Park hoppers in my package and came back to me with the above code! So my assumption is that is a package only deal and my pin code is for room only! I think the dining is a good savings so preferred having the discount on the package versus room only and adding on. Now of course these posts have got me wondering if I should have booked room only's and then got AP's for me and kids and ph for dad and pay for food? I hope to go in Oct (which I booked) as well for 3 nights with this code! Can anyone verify that they did get the full 40% off when booking with the code off the deluxes? Now I know why everyone is so confused!!!!!

I just tried to call and see about the ZFZ code and was told that it would not work for my trip (Aug. 13-19) to the Poly. Has anyone else gotten this or the other "z" codes to work for this time period?

Ok, so I called using the code for December 8-16, and was quoted for 8 nights at CSR, with 6 day park hoppers, with dining. For 2 adults, and 1 child, I was quoted at


$ 2894.26. Huh? Where is the discount? THat is the same thing that I got from the online quote! AAA gave me the same package for $ 2500.00.

Anyone have any idea here?

Ok, I called back and got another CM- who was AMAZING!! I hit the jackpot with her! I told her what was going on, and she was so helpful- she said, well, lets keep putting in different numbers, dates, etc until we find what works best for you to get that discount!

So, first we tried the same dates as above (the 8-16), and got the same thing- no discount even with the code. So, I asked her to try the 9-16, and when she did, my new quote was......

$ 2065.43!!!! Yeah! I took one off my reservation, and saved $700!

This quote is $456. less than the Disney quote I got online, so I went ahead and booked it! I can't believe it! Thank you Disney boards!!!!

right now we have the room for our stay for $880. after crunching the numbers, i think that even with a 30% discount on the package, it would still be around the same price. i have to sleep on this.

Just to clarify, when you are talking about a % discount mostly this will refer to the room. (these current 30%, 40%, AAA discounts etc). While there may be a package available utilizing the discount off the room, you will not see the discount you expect if you are looking for 30% off the entire package.

I got a 40% discount of my room for my package. Breaking it down it worked out to exactly the 40% off my room.
rack rate price 2940.10
code price 2411.64
Savings 528.36
% of total package price is only 17.90%
even though I definitely got 40% off my room.

If I booked room only or package I got the same 40% off the room. However the cm said it didn't always work out that way. So it should work out the same either way assuming your dining costs will be the same (remember you can't get dining plan without the package) - tickets are the same and your room costs the same. I am booked at csr Dec 14-22

I know my postcard says dates from Dec 9 to 22nd, that's why it didn't work the first time, I too had to change my dates once I got this code but hey it was only by a day!! glad it worked out for you!

Ok I just got off the phone checking codes ??? and ZFC for end of May. I was told it was available.

I believe my time is summer time and an extra adult but we're talking value vs. deluxe w/ extras not std!!!! You are very lucky to have a good rate and that you can go at that time...I have kids in school

So looks like I am going with the ZFC for value of the package since I get the preferred room and the water parks.
The preferred room is not something I'd normally pay for but my daughter has an ankle injury. We are hoping she can just make it thru the parks even if we have to get her a wheel chair part of the time. I hope we don't end up just sitting by the pool for all this $$$$ it will cost us.

I booked my package just about 90 minutes ago. I had orginally wanted August 19-26 and when the agent priced it out it was $1800 + change. I asked him to please apply the ZDZ code and he told me the code would not start for my package until August 21. So, I asked him to check a price for September 2-9, two adults, All Star Music resort, 7 nights 6 days, park hopper passes, dining, insurance, and the price came to just a little over $1500. I booked it and told him that if "free dining" or another package deal comes up that is less, I will change my reservation.
Maybe not the best deal going, but it works for me.

assuming that i get the tickets elsewhere for cheaper (or will the code work seemingly on tickets as well?), i am looking at upgrading to a dining+room package. does the ZFZ (or whatever "Z" code works), still give the big discount on the room and less (or even none) on the dining or an overall discount on the entire thing?

sorry if i am scatterbrained, it's just that i have the really good room rate, and i would hate to lose that deal.

Any idea what the "valid" date ranges are for ZFZ? I tried to use it for Aug 11 - 18 with out any luck...

I did book CBR for 10/29-11/3. I am surprised that Disney released a code now for late fall travel dates. I was a little worried that they made a mistake. Anyway, I got 5 nights with the dining and 2 day passes for 2 adults, 2 children for $1575. Booking through Disney's site would be $1948. That is a good deal, but I'm still hoping that Disney didn't make a mistake.

Before I found out about ??? I was working on finding out about the email code. I was suposed to have a discount in their system. When I called the other day they couldn't figure out what it was and they promised to look into it and call me back. They called me last night and told me that the only discount on my name is the free pass upgrade. This is the same one for everyone that is listed on Mousesavers sight. The CM seemed totally disinterested in checking any further, and was confused when I asked about the pin. Yesterday, she told me that there was a pin for me in their system. I'm glad I got a deal with ???. I just hope that Disney didn't make a mistake on that code.

I just tried ZFZ for October and the CM said that they didn't have that code in their system. I am so confused!!! You shouldn't have to call 3 or 4 times to get a CM who knows about this code. You would think that all of the CMs would know about the current codes.

No discount at all not even a little one on tickets dining...just the normal advance purchase price on tickets that saves you a bit if you are buying big enough tickets. I think they have to be atleast 4 day and might have to have hoppers or wp. not sure.

Remember what I said you cannot add dining to a room only. Dining can only be added to packages. Package means room + tickets. So if you want the DDP you must book a room + tickets package. And again the discount should be the same amount for your room. So the only extra you run into is whatever you may have saved by not doing the dining plan and what you may have saved by buying tickets from an outside source.
