Just thinking: are we crazy for having dinner 4th of July in Epcot?

I was just thinking. We are staying at the boardwalk. I booked dinner at la hacienda awhile ago for the night of the fourth. But now I'm wondering. Will we have to stay in the park all day? I'm sure it reaches capacity?

We've never been on the 4th. Any insight is welcome. It is just dh and myself. Thanks!

It will certainly be a shoulder-to-shoulder situation but because of its size Epcot rarely reaches a Phase 4 closure where no one is let in. Just give yourself enough time to make it to La Hacienda and you'll be fine.

I spent last 4th of July at Epcot and ate dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel. I had no problems. The park was crowded, but not nearly as crowded as the Saturday before Columbus Day during the Food and Wine Festival. You will be fine.

I would sure not cancel an ADR for the 4th at this point. Fireworks at EPCOT on the fourth include a terrific patriotic tag at the end of Illuminations. We are a little nutty, but love the 4th at WDW. Crazy crowded, but crazy fun!

I'll be in Epcot all day on the 4th, so no I don't think you're crazy. At least not any crazier than me! Seriously though, we've done July 4th at WDW before and it's really not bad as long as take a little extra patience into the park with you.

We'll be at EPCOT on the 4th also! ADR at Rose & Crown! I'm a people watcher and don't care so much about riding most of the rides anymore so the busy parks will be fine with me!

Only if you are expecting to have a guaranteed fireworks view from the restaurant.
