We are from Texas, San Antonio area - so Epcot Mexico is great for margaritas, but not for food.

Beef, chicken, Italian, Fish - in that order. Not a fan of spicy Indian type food or Sushi type.

Wine drinkers, not beer. Speciality drinks always good.

Love character dining! Looking for fun & romantic.

Please give me some ideas for place you would recommend for TS and/or CS. we will have 7 days worth to fill.

Thank you!

Ohana and Crystal Palace are two of our favorites. Cape May and Biergarten are two that we will be trying in September, so would be curious to see what others say as well! We are two adults on the DP as well :)

We are two adults on the DDP. We went last September and were not on it. My fiances only request for our upcoming trip was to return to 1. Kona dinner and 2. via Napoli.

I personally am super excited to try Narcoosee's and to go back to garden grill :)

If you like filet mignon, the Wave at the contemporary is I think the only 1TS filet left on property. It is one of those underrated places with great food, though the atmosphere is generic restaurant (no great views or anything).

BoG for either dinner or lunch supposedly has great atmosphere (haven't been yet)

For character meals my favorites are Tusker House, because the food is very very good there... and also Crystal Palace because I love the restaurant and I love tigger.

my favorite QS places are Wolfgang Puck Express and Tangierine cafe in Epcot. Looking forward to trying Flame Tree BBQ too.

I ate at La Celliar probably 10 years ago & it was great...but I understand it isn't so good now that it is a signature restaurant. I've never heard of trattatoria? Keep the suggestions coming!! I should also mention my husband loves music so he would love anything with that kind of atmosphere.

*Coral Reef at Epcot - This place gets a lot of mixed reviews but we had a really good steak there on our last visit.

Most of these have already been said but I'll reiterated a few of our favourite 1 credit dining

Chef's de France
Tutto Italia
'Ohana
The Wave
Trattatoria al Forno- on the Boardwalk
Be Our Guest Dinner-

For Breakfast Character Buffet's:
Tusker House/Crystal Palace

It's a lot harder to squeeze as much value out of the two credit but here a few suggestions:

Yachtsman Steakhouse
Jiko- which is our personal favourite as wine drinkers
California Grill
Narcoossess's

Biergarten seems like a good choice then from what is said about the fun environment. We are trying it in September!

Chefs de France for the "romantic" ambiance

Ohana because it's fun and it's good - We reserve at 8pm to take our Time and have view of Wishes (if We don't well see them, They pipe the music). Also the singer there (the men) is fantastic! What a sweet voice!

We had a good Time at Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package. My steak Was sooooo good! I don't like steak to cut with a fork, They have bland taste but i enjoy it So much!

Narcoosees it's very good and the service is attentive. At the opening you Will Be 4-6 in the entire restaurant!

Not in the dining plan but very relaxing, the Afternoon tea at the garden view tea room at Grand Floridian

Yak and yeti restaurant is very very good (the wonton dessert is to Die for). Try the désert pear refresher, highly addictive!

Agree about Narcoossee's. One thing I'd add about Chefs de France - don't go at peak dining hours because it gets packed/loud. Consider an early (4ish?) or late dinner or even lunch. I know you said Mexico isn't great for food for you but we did enjoy the ambiance at San Angel Inn. We aren't from Texas but are big fans of Mexican/Tex-Mex food and I think you'll find the food adequate at San Angel (that said, we've had much better similar food in California, Las Vegas, etc.).

We're long time residents from Arizona and frequent Mexico often. We find San Angel to be very good and one of the best themed dining atmospheres. It's not Tex-Mex or typical Gringo-Mex.

Our favorites are Coral Reef, Ohana's, Kona Cafe and The Wave. All on our must do list and excellent.

I love, love, love Teppan Edo. Wonderful food.

Teppan Edo does get very good reviews but we found it so-so. Probably because we have quite a few Teppanyaki restaurants in our home town to compare with. Teppan falls short in comparison by a wide margin. Still, it is fun and the food is good.
