Just the two of us- WDW May 09 countdown on! **UPDATE Trying to change plans AGAIN!**

I agree...I am so excited our trip is paid in advance and we did ADR's. Now we can just bring spending money and relax.

I was just reading your post on the families thread about Rylan's sleeping! Oh man, some of those people are RUDE! What about the lady who puts her 7yo to bed at 6:30pm...I don't even have dinner on the table by then!! If I put Emily to bed at 6:30pm, she'd be up by 4:30am. That's about the time I finally fall asleep!!:rotfl:

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice on the paci because Emily never took one...even when she was crying and I'd shove it in her mouth to try to keep her quiet!! Anyway, I can tell you what I do and hope there is something you can use! Everynight at 9:30ish Emily heads upstairs for bath time then she can bounce on our bed until 10pm. (We use these opportunities to learn about time too. She knows that 10pm is 10:00 on the clock and when she sees it, she knows it's bedtime) At 10pm we go in her room and read a book then she gets in bed and has quiet time until she falls asleep. Some nights she is out in 15 minutes, other nights, like last night, she was still awake at 1am. Regardless, I wake her up every morning at 10am, she'd sleep til noon if I let her!!:cloud9: She know this is the routine, we've been doing it since she was born. Every once in a while, Emily will ask to listen to music and I let her, but only when she asks! (She has a CD player in her room)

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! Hope there is something there to help you!?!

Wow...what the heck...they aren't doing a mother's day brunch this year. Not that I was really planning on going but its kinda sad that they aren't doing it.

I know! I had considered it, but we're going to be at MK that day and we don't have hoppers so we decided it wasn't worth it...I guess we weren't the only ones!!

Did Rylan get to bed OK tonight? Emily is still awake, I can hear her singing herself to sleep!!

Ahh its such a nice feeling :) I thought I was going to have to put some money in a separate bank account so I wouldn't spend it so its nice to have all paid off except the rental car!

Ugh I know...for us 9:30 works! I was working until 8pm and not getting home until 9pm...so what sense does that make to make him go to bed earlier?! I wouldn't be able to see my child at all! I guess they missed the part where I talked about his sleep apnea. He has always had sleep issues and up until recently he was doing just fine. He ends up waking me up in the morning and wakes up early regardless of what time he goes to bed. I just HATE being told that its me that's the problem. I'm not! I DO enforce his bedtime. I mean what should I do? Hold him down with my knee while keeping his eyes shut? There is only so much I can do to get him to go to bed and then its up to him :confused3 I decided that he gets his paci at bedtime until his 3 year checkup. I do not want him up all night long again and I want him on a normal bedtime routine. I don't think it will harm him to have it just for bed. I do try to establish a timeline and tell him every so often that after so much time its bedtime...and usually after Blues Clues its time to go to bed. He fell asleep around 11 tonight I think. Earlier than last night!

I am afraid to talk to the ENT again :( I absolutely do not want him doing another sleep study...the last one was horrendous but I guess this would be the best time to do it since I am not working. Which reminds me...I need to call the doctor and get his 3 year well check set up! No shots thank goodness!

Haha that's too cute!

I put him down around 10:00 tonight...he fell asleep on the car ride home from the sitter so I had to adjust bedtime. I think he fell asleep between 11 and 11:30, so a bit earlier than last night!

Having the paci at night sounds like a good plan. If it helps him sleep better then go for it! Someone on your post mentioned the cloth diapers to suck on, that's what my SIL did with my niece because she needed that sucking, but was chewing up her pacifiers.

Here is Rylan's birthday invitation!

Great invitations! Rylan is going to have such a great party! We are having a pirate themed party for my sons 4th birthday this Sept. I love planning parties, it is so much fun to see the kids reactions to the decorations and stuff.

Those invites are so cute!! I wish we could come!!:rotfl: I can't wait to see the $50 cake!

Wow my kiddos go to bed early, but then they are at the sitter at 7 am. Jenny gets ready for bed at 7:30 and goes at 8:00 and Austin is normally in bed by 7. Jenny never took a paci either. Austin has a raggy (cloth diaper) and his thumb. Which my MIL informed me my husband had for many years...so we shall see how long that last. Jenny was a horrible and I mean horrible sleeper until she was 2 and they took her tonsils out. She would always wake up thirsty, coughing, etc. Then over night she slept for 10 hours. They said afterwards her tonsils were so large for her little body that she probably had sleep apnea because of it! Ugh!

Hello? Is anybody there?:confused3:rotfl:

You're school work is really interrupting our DISing!!:lmao::surfweb::lmao:

I'm sorry I'm sorry!

This test is going to kick my butt tomorrow :( If I don't get an A on it, I probably won't have a chance of getting into nursing school. I have to have an A in this class...meaning I probably needs to get As on these last 3 tests. Spring break threw me for a loop and I am feeling so overwhelmed :( I promise I will update soon!

For what its worth- 45 days to go! Officially a month and a half! :cool1::banana::woohoo:

 I'm a full-time student too, so I feel your pain with the tests. And you have a 3-year old to boot...I just want to say that I have a HUGE amount of admiration for student single moms like yourself. I had a woman in my calculus class who had 4 young kids under 10, and I tried to help her as much as I could.

Anyhoo, love reading your PTR! You are certainly doing lots of planning! Can't wait to hear how the vacation went :) .

Good luck on the test!! I'm sure you'll do great!! When school gets overwhelming and you just can't take it anymore just remember....Only 1 & 1/2 months until you are up to your hooha in Disney! :rotfl2:

Here is some inspiration:

Hey! Are you still eating at the Yachtman Steakhouse on the 8th? If so, we'll see you there!!:rotfl:

By the way...where have you been? I'm starting to get worried!!
