When I got married 2 years ago, my wedding dress was a size 18/20. My best friend was my bridesmaid and had a gorgeous dress from Debenhams in a size 14. After the wedding I kept both dresses in the hope of selling them on but couldn't bear to part with my wedding dress and, because of a slight rip in the other dress, I couldn't sell it.

We have a ball coming up in June, for which I need a ballgown. DH suggested I see how much weight I would need to lose to fit into Christine's dress. So I tried it on this morning and guess what.....

...it fits :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I am so pleased. having struggled for the last few weeks on my diet, this has given me the incentive I needed to keep going :goodvibes

well done! that is fantastic, keep up the good work :goodvibes

Well done - I love balls. Why don't you post a picture of you in the dress so we can all see how great you look.

Well Done!

I actuallly pulled some t-shirts out my draw the otherday what I have not worn in around 3 years because they didnt fit and they do, its a great feeling and gives you a boost. Anywho, good news and keep it up =]

That's great! We want a photo! (please!)

Great choice of phrase Gill :lmao:

I will try and get DH to take a picture later and maybe post a 'before' pic as well.

Well done, Joh. I struggle with my weight, too. I lost 3 stone last year, but I've put on a stone since coming back from my Orlando trip in January. I manged to keep off the weight all over Christmas and our January trip, but put on half a stone before our cruise at the end of April and another half a stone on the cruise itself. D'oh!

Still, my next holiday isn't until October and I always find it easier to lose weight in the summer. I can easily lose 2 stone before then without really trying. I've already lost 3lbs since getting back from the cruise a week ago and I certainly haven't been dieting.

Well done Joh, this morning I experienced the exact opposite when I tried on some shorts - it was a bit of a shock. Now when I want a cake or biscuit I will remember my reflection in the mirror and that will be enough to put me off my food :rotfl:

Yay you! Hope it goes well. :goodvibes:

Tag faires are like my uncles and aunts; they come and as they please. You just never know when they will turn up :teeth:
