From PP to DLH for the last 3 nights of out Christmas trip! I'm looking for opinions, on which hotel is 'better', We have stayed at DLH before but not the PP. I asked for the 'Dreams" tower even though we are only getting a standard view room, will they do this?

I am starting to get EXCITED!

I am also booked at DLH, but I don;'t want to get you any less excited, but honestly, and this is coming from a Cast Member in reservations that if you really want the Dreams tower you need to book a view room. You can request it, but they would have to upgrade you due to the Dreams tower being the main view rooms tower. Most standard rooms are in Magic, and Wonder. Wonder tower is the farthest tower. Keep your fingers crossed, but if you really only want the Dreams then I would highly suggest you book maybe a Lower view room your chances then become far greater of getting it.

What is a lower view room? I thought the rooms were either 'standard' or just 'view room'? :confused3

TIA!

Since they changed the tower names I don't know which is which. What tower has the store and registration desk in it?

We've spent 1 night at each of the 3 Disney hotels ~ my fave is the DLH ~ I have no clue what tower we were in but we had a lovely pool view, we were close to the giant wizard hat but not in the bldg with the registration desk.

Ok the lobby for check in and store is the Magic Tower, Disneymomma81 the one you were in is called Dreams Tower which I have just booked into. Nottellin yes there are 4 room types. 1. is standard, 2. premium view which is a dtd/resort view those are lower lvl views that are from first floor to 4th floor, 3rd is deluxe those are anything above 4th (I was told lower lvl went to floor 6 before so not sure if they changed it), 4th is Concierge lvl usually dreams tower floor 10, and 11. Standard is lowest rate, premium view is more than standard, deluxe also cost more than premium, and of course concierge, and suites are the most expensive. Hope this helps a bit

Does anyone know what an upper resort view in the DLH is?

Yes when I was describing the room I guess I should have been more detailed. An upper lvl view room is anything ABOVE the 4th floor (used to be anything above 6th floor) but when I called today she said 1st to 4th floor is lower lvl. If you book an upper lvl view usually it will be dreams tower you can either get a Downtown disney view which if you have small children DTD can get loud at night with the bands good for adults, and they play till around 11. the other view would be overlooking neverland pool which is really pretty at night, and in the dawn hours. The upper is called a deluxe I believe it's slipping my mind when I just got told it mins ago. ugh The thanksgiving hectic is kicking in, but the upper view will cost you more than the lower. That's the difference is just being higher up on the view for a higher price.
