We decided to take a DW vacation about 3 weeks ago and had an extremely hard time finding availability since it would be over soaps weekend. I've changed my ressies several times since originally booking and was currently booked at the BWI for $179 a night. I've been checking everyday as we wanted Wilderness Lodge. Today I found YC had availability for those same nights for $179. I made the switch without even thinking about it. I've been reading these boards for weeks now and thought I was very happy with the BWI but when YC became available - I just said - I'll take it. I made the right decision - didn't I?

BTW - Can someone please tell me to stop obsessing about these resorts.

i happen to like YC alot better then BWI so as far as I am concerned you have made the perfect choice. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We had to make the same decision for the the same weekend, and decided on the BWI. The deciding factor for us was the fact that all the rooms at BWI have been recently remodelled, whereas the YC is currently going through refurbishment. We didn't want to take a chance on getting a worn-out room (as some have posted) or have to deal with construction.

I'm sure you will enjoy the YC! I'm just sharing this to assure you that you aren't the only one who obsesses over these resort decisions!

I love BWI, but some rooms are quite a hike from the lobby and there's no other way in or out. Have never stayed at YC but have pondered staying at BC. I've been stuck on a Poly / BW loop for 12 years, lol.
If you make a decision and you're excited about it then you made the right decision, don't worry.

Last September we stayed at the BWV and loved it. The only thing we did not like was that long hike to the elevators, and when we were there they were refurbishing the pool and that was very disappointing to my 7 year old. When the only thing available was the BWI, I thought we would try it so that we could use the pool this year. When I checked on Saturday to see if the WL was available, I found that I could either get the or YC or BC. I decided on the YC as from what I was able to research, they have balconies whereas the BC only has very small balconies.

smfnj - you are right in that I am now very excited about the YC so the decision was the right one to make. The bummer is that I have to wait another month and 1/2 until we go.

We stayed at the YC this past August. We absolutely loved it. We were on the 3rd floor which was just renovated, beautiful.
SAB was wonderful. Beaches and Cream was also a nice place to eat. Cape May's Buffet was very good. I think you will really be happy with your choice. The best part was being so close to EPCOT....We had a room with a balcony and saw the fireworks each night at Epcot. Enjoy :) :)

I have only stayed at BWI (loved it) and Poly (liked it) but I'm sure the YC will be a great place too. Really, all the deluxes are nice! Have a fun trip:D

Don't want to put a wrinkle in your plans, but we were just at BC and SAB was under construction. SAB is still open, only some parts were closed off. Also, the pool is only open until 8:00pm. Really a downer for us. We had planned to do some late night swimming. If I were you, I would call YC and see if SAB will still be under construction when you plan on being there.
