Just started looking for my wedding dress....

I LOVE it~!!! I'm going to show my fiance that one... lol... I've had my dress for 6 years... we set the date a while back and he backed out... we were only 23 then... we are older and wiser now :scratchin ... but he still refuses to see the dress, even after all these years... he never wanted a peek. So cute... such a romantic... :love2:

But seriously, I LOVE the second dress... but I'm not the one wearing it....

So, are you still together? are you living together? are you setting a date????? If he is such a romantic, how about a Disney wedding.....;)

:jumping2:

:flower: ohanafamily - you make me laugh... yes, we are still together. 11 1/2 years of dating, a 9 year old daughter and living in separate houses... but yes, we are finally engaged and are planning a Disney wedding... as a matter of fact, when I logged off earlier, I called Disney FTW and they said we can start planning 18 months out... I am going to call them back and they said they can have a wedding planner get in touch with me!! I am sooooooooooo excited!!! The date is set (until Disney tells us otherwise) as Sept. 23, 2006... I can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Now I know why you are so Happy/LaLa!!!!!

Please start a thread about what you are planning so we can tell you what.... I mean advise you on the best ways to do things. There is a wealth of info on this board.....

:jumping2:

I must be the oddball--I think they are both gorgeous, so of course I like the second one...but I think the first one is just absolutely incredibly gorgeous and elegant

I like them both but if I had to choose, I'd take the second one.

And where were you people when I went dress shopping? My best friend was out-of-state, my mom and sister were so NOT interested, so I took a friend with me who I thought had good taste. I bought a David's Bridal gown and after picking it up, my friend said, "yeah, like you know arms are the easiest thing to work on when you are preparing for a wedding."

I about cried. I paid for the dress and you can't return those. I guess her opinion and taste didn't come out at the right time! :rotfl:

Actually, My DW's mother has passed, and her DS lived in CA. Her DS took one of her best friends (He is quite limp wristed) and did a fabulous job, even down to the YELLOW TENNIS SHOES!!!

I ain't goin' inta details on my DW and her dress shopping...Did I mention that our hotel accomodations got comped because Tge asistant to the president of our travel agency left her a VMail and called her a not nice word for a female dog (a *****)...

Oh well, back to work I go...

:jumping2:

How very rude of that assistant to the president!!!
I changed into tennies about half-way through our after-party at the Lost Bar at the Disneyland Hotel. There's me with the hair all gorgeous and that pretty poofy dress and a gold tiara and plain white sneakers. :cool1:

Um, actually, the shoes were my DSIL's Idea; HE took HIS duty as Mother Of The Bride quite seriously. She wanted a pair of comfy shoes; we all knew, but none of the guests did. I also must say that they almost had the wedding in a Bowling Alley.....

Actually, on the strange but true front, we went to a wedding where an hour after the ceremony the bride and groom changed into their Wedding Swim Suits, and got into a Dunking booth. (carnival themed wedding)... OK, It was fun, and there were lots of kids around....

(BTW, I have lots of wedding stories...)

PS,

JonetteA, How goes the planning??? Need any numbers for WDW yet? Have you convinced him to do the Disney Cruise Yet.....

OMG, DW LOVES her Wishblade. She just made the Kewelest tags and frame set for a swap.....you would be so amazed.....

:jumping2:

Ohana,

Working on the cruise, but I think we are going to end up in Hawaii for 3 days...*sigh* As he tells me he is just along for the Wedding, and I am just along for the honeymoon...how ROMANTIC. Found a great dress for 3600....somehow I don't think it is going to make the cut...oh yeah and it looks like I am going to lose my job...just trying to regroup and all. But other than that trying to get the reheasal dinner figured out with his parents...argh just alot to do and not much time =)

I like the second one better but both are great. I am sorry about your job. You may find that sometimes these unexpected things happen for a reason.

I know some great rehearsal Dinner Ideas too...

Southfork was one we thought of, We are members of the Park City club... what part of town and how many guests (it is ok to PM me if you don't want to post the info...

:jumping2:

Oh, I forgot.... I was thinking reception back home.....

Um, let's see... I bet your EM can solve all of the problems.....

Sorry about your job though... My DW was laid off a couple of weeks before I proposed. 6 and a half months ago, she finally got another job as a "Full Time Mommy".....
