We are splitting our stay between POP and Beach Club. We will be at the Beach Club for 5 nights. I have eaten there but have never stayed there.

Please tell me about their standard rooms! Are the balconies small? Do they have connecting rooms?(We requested it), Is there a certain floor or location I should request? Are the standards far from the pool?

Last but not least is it worth the 2400.00 dollars to upgrade 2 rooms to Beach Club? :earseek:

We loved the Beach Club. It was my Dream resort & I'm so glad we were able to stay there. WE had a standard room, 1st floor with a lovely patio on the Epcot side of the resort. It was a little walk to the main pool, close to the quiet pool. The walk was worth it for our location tho. The patio was lovely & during the day you could hear the British Invasion playing while you were sitting out there. Not too loud & not loud enough to be heard in the room, but enough for ambience while relaxing on the patio. At night, if we walked a couple steps down the courtyard, we could see the Illuminations fireworks.
This was a standard room with no room requests except that we have a patio/balcony of some sort. I can't answer your question about connecting rooms as we only needed one. Happy Travels & enjoy the Beach Club. It's a beautiful resort.

The BC is one of my favorite resorts!
Rooms are adequate size -- the largest rooms are at the original 2 WDW resort hotels (Poly and CR).
Standard rooms usually have a parking lot or tree view.

The BC has patios w. slider 2 chairs and a small table for all 1st floor rooms. All other rooms have balconies. One thing about the balconies they have 2 sizes. A full balcony is the same size as a patio w. the slider and 2 chairs and a small table. The walkout balcony is a french door which has a 1 person standing only -- to view balcony.

I always request a "full balcony" when staying at the BC.

The resort isn't huge so no matter where your room is located it's not far to the pool/s and lobby.

At that cost I wouldn't upgrade -- how much time are you going to be in these rooms.

Have a great time!

I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old so we plan on being in the room for naps and such...

The pool was also a big factor in upgrading. We orginally wanted Poly but no AP rooms available.

Thanks for the responses but I have decided that 2400.00 is just too much and we are going to switch to either AKL standard or Moderate...

Boy would I love to stay at the beach club though.... Someday!!

When we stayed at BC, I paid rack. I thought it was worth every penny at the time, altho I'd be hard pressed to do that again. :earboy2:

I really wish I could stay there... but I have to pull in the reins on myself. This was suppose to be a 5-6 night quicky trip staying at POP and now has turned into a 8 night Deluxe trip..

I have to control myself better than this.... :rotfl:

Just back one week from the BC. We were upgraded to a Waterview Room looking out at the Quiet Pool. We were on the first floor so we had a patio (just be careful when the landscaping sprinklers go on :goodvibes )
Our room was a connecting room. We couldn't hear any noise from the other room.
The best part, we were at the end of the building so within 5 minutes we were in EPCOT!
The worse, the Quiet Pool was not quiet at 2am any evening (or should I say morning) of our stay.
It was nice to have an upgrade but I wouldn't pay for it.
