We just returned from a wonderful 8 day vacation at Disney. Our family had a blast. I thought I would just jot some tips down that we found to be really helfpul. Hope they will help your vacation be as much fun as our vacation!
* Throw some extra plastic hangers in your suitcase. We stayed at All Star Movie (which was great and the food at the food court is really good) and it had a nice dresser with deep drawers and a rack for clothes, but limited number of hangers. Our plastic hangers allowed us to hang much more
* If you are taking a digital camera, take at least two sets of batteries for your camera. If all possible, take two chargers so you can charge both sets at night so you are ready to go each day
* If you are trying to save some money on food, pack breakfast items to eat in your room. We took cereals (and bought milk in the gift shop), bagels, breakfast bars, etc. It saved us about $15-20 each morning.
* Plan! I usually don't plan our vacations, but I found that our planning paid off. We did everything we wanted to do, including every parade, every show and every ride and never felt overwhelmed or rushed!
* Pack comfortable walking shoes because you do nothing but walk, walk and walk!
* Program any travel numbers you may need into your phone - kids' physicians (which we had to call while we were there for a severe stomach ache), airlines, travel agent, etc.
* If you plan on going to see Fantasmic, make reservations a head of time at one of the restaurants in MGM that gives ticket vouchers for reserved seating at the show - gives you more time in the park so you aren't standing in line forever.
* When you get to the parks, start at the back of the parks and work your way up. There were many mornings that we were the only ones at the back of the park and we had zero lines to see characters or rides.
Hope your vacation is as magical as our vacation was this past week!
