Our next trip is for Jan 5th - 12th. I made my ADRs and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts, opinions or reviews on these restaurants, as most of them are new to us. We wanted to do all 1ts and one 2ts. we are going to..

Le Cellier
Spoodles
Liberty tree tavern
jiko
grand floridian cafe
chefs de france
concousere steakhouse

thanks!!

You have plans at some of my favorite places! :thumbsup2 We love Spoodles. It's our first night tradition.

The only one I would not go is Concourse Steakhouse. I am taking it that you are steak fans. May I make a suggestion? As much as I love Jiko (and I do!), what about this ..

Trade Jiko for Boma and Concourse for Yatchsman Steakhouse..

YSH is so much better then Concourse. There's a thread right now about the 2 and YSH is winning by a landslide.

Le Cellier is my favorite on your list. Wonderful steaks. Their mashed potatoes are to die for. Liberty Tree is a great place for lunch or dinner. The dinner can get a little rowdy with the characters but it is so much fun and the food is also very good. Enjoy!!

thank you so much, that is a very good suggestion. I really wanted to try Jiko this time, so I think i want to keep that. I also have heard so-so things about Concourse. I am looking to try new places, and I cant figure anywhere else that is really appealing to us..I probably wont keep the Concourse one, I just need to figure out another place! lol

jiko is our all time favorite! you do have some great choices. we like spoodles for breakfast--one of the best on property. enjoy!!

Try the crab cake appetizer at Liberty Tree (it was on the lunch menu, I'm not sure about the dinner menu). It was very good - and living in Maryland I've had some of the best!

I would suggest Kona. We tried both Kona and Concourse this past visit and Kona is a definate do again but not the Concourse.

I would pick Jiko for sure. It is our favorite place at WDW to dine. The food and service have always been outstanding. We also really enjoy Le Cellier. It is our favorite WS restaurant. We ate at GFC last year for the first time and really loved it. We will be eating at Jiko & Le Cellier again next month. :)

My family loves LTT and of course LeCellier. Great photo opps if you have kids for LTT. My daughter 3 at the last trip stills talks about her dessert at LECELLIER.

JMO - I would avoid Spoodles. We went to Spoodles Monday(9/18) the food was horrible and the service was even worse. The steak was tough and the fettuccine alfredo had no sauce. Just a little oil drizzled over it. Our server was MIA 90% of the time. Yet the restaurant wasn't even busy. The whole meal took over 2 1/2 hours. I spoke with the manager about our poor service and her response was "Thank you for bringing that to our attention". To put it mildly our dining experience there was just pathetic.

Here are my two cents on the restaurants I've been to before:

Le Cellier - perfect choice; loved this place and I can't wait to go back. Their steaks are so delicious!! This is DHs and I favorite place.

Liberty tree tavern - I absolutely loved this place. I was there earlier this month and I can't wait to be able to go back. I am not a turkey person but that's the best turkey I had ever had. The character interaction was awesome! We had a 6p.m. ADR, the place was not overly crowded and the characters each came around at least twice; some came by three times.

chefs de france - I'm not too sure how to feel about this restaurant. It was nice; service was great but the food was just ok to me. The menu was somewhat limited and if the choice is between this or LeCellier I would definately try LeCellier.

This kind of echos my feelings about Spoodles. When we went, the food I had was so overloaded with olive oil that I felt sick that afternoon (as did my brother and DH). I didn't find the service to be quite so bad then, but when I went for breakfast it seemed slow. I was about to try that place even after the disaster first I had, and that sealed it for me. I won't step foot in that restaurant unless it goes through a major overhall.

There are very few places at WDW I totally avoid, but this is one!

I agree with the advice to have dinner at the Kona Cafe. We think the food,
service and atmosphere to be the best around---go on every trip. :sunny:

Here are my opinions on your choices!

Le Cellier - excellent choice
Spoodles - a regular choice of ours that is sometimes superb and always good
Liberty tree tavern - fun and tasty food
jiko - Best restaurant on property. Thought steak and mac & cheese was a silly entree til I had it. My favorite!
grand floridian cafe - nice choice
chefs de france - I would reconsider
concousere steakhouse - Very disappointing twice
