.......I have a dinner planned for 30 people at Chef Mickey's coming up this week and I got a call from them the other day. I was told that effective immediatly the price has gone up, it went from $21.99 to $23.99 and believe the childrens meal went up one dollar. I am assuming that this means other prices have gone up too in other restaurants. Just thought I would let everyone know.

I have been price checking the buffets and I noticed that 1900 was 12.99 for a child and its 9.99 elsewhere. I wonder why they have such a difference?

Tinkerbel129 - Thanks for the info.
30 people!!!
Wow! I hope you all have a blast!

The selections at 1900 Park Faire are far more extensive and expensive than those at other buffets.

Pooh&Piglet,

Thank you, it took awhile to get it all together, but I know we will have a lot of FUN!!

As for the 1900 Park Fare, these are the things I take into consideration. We have eaten there every year, multiple times in the past 12 years for breakfast and dinner. It is considered to be Disney's most deluxe resort in my opinion, hence a higher price. Also this is the only restaurant I know of where you can encounter charaters that are no where else. For instance I loved when they used to have the Villian dinner, my DH could not sit there with a straight face, every time Captain Hook was coming he would just start laughing non-stop. We were very dis-appointed when they took away this dinner. Also we have seen Mary Poppins & Bert, Beauty & the Beast, Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Peter Pan & Wendy, these were just some from the past and some that you not find anywhere else. I'm not sure who they have currently though. It is a lovely place to have a meal and the food is very good (imho). Hope this helps.

I called last week to make reservations for our group. (so far 22) . I was told they needed a credit card #, if we needed to cancel we must do it 24 hrs or more prior and if we had less than the # show that we made reservations for, our credit card would be charged 10 per person. I decided to wait until we are closer and double ck our #'s. I hope we can get reservations for Boma's once I know for sure the final #.

Hi Alex,

All the people that are coming to dinner are from all over the US and are all fellow DIS'ers. I 1st made ressies for 25 and before I knew it grew to 32. I e-mailed all the info to everyone- totel price (which includes tax & tip), what time they had to be there, date and location. I also included a disclaimer telling them about the $10.00 sur-charge if they did not show up and explained that Disney would charge me this if I did not have the amount of people I reserved for. Everyone has been very understanding about. I did a follow-up e-mail last week to confirm that they are still coming and everyone is still very excited about it. Everyone also told me for any unforeseen reason they don't show they will reimburse me. About 85% of the people that are coming have met on various occasions and the remaining 15% are thrilled to be finally meeting other DIS'ers. As long as Disney seems to know in advance what the total will be, I figure I won't have any problems. I hope this helps you out.

Good Luck
