Just sent niece off to the PROM!!!!

My niece, Melanie, just left for her 8th grade prom. They are living at my mom's right now, so as soon as DH got home from work, I went over to do her makeup.

She had her nails put on yesterday, so that was done. I did her toenails and her make up. I used bare escentuals.... WOW!!! It looks great on us, imagine it on "just turned 14 skin!". My mom did her hair up. She is one of those people that can wear all of her hair off her face .


She wore a black gown and sandals with heels. Not much jewelry. Diamond earrings, her Tiffany heart bracelet and a matching choker.

She was going with a boy and another girl. The other girl is wearing a red-gown and she and Melanie look like sisters (J. LO types).

Well, after my mom's DH taking a million pictures, the boy showed up. He looked great (obvious mom had dressed him). He was wearing a black suit with a black shirt/red tie). He had a corsage for my niece and we took some more pictures. Then his mom got out and took some video (outside). Off to pick up Lynnette!

Melanie just turned 14 last weekend and had a big party at the beach. About 20 kids showed up and that's not bad, considering she has only been at this school for 2 months!!!

I hope they have fun!!!!

Wow, for my eighth grade "dance" (which was held in the cafeteria), I just had my mom do my hair and I did my nails. It was very blah.

In 8th grade I was in Baptist private school, so you can bet your holy rollers there wasn't a dance or anything similar to one.
