Just scored 3 BOG rez's! Now help me choose....

Thank you so much for posting this! I was just able to hop on and grab a lunch ADR too! Yeah! Now I have to decide what to order! My son is super picky.

Does anyone know what the Kid's whole grain pasta is like? I'm not sure how he'll like it if its whole grain.

Sorry for being of topic! My vote is that you keep the lunch ADR.

I would say lunch. I really enjoy the meal then the best and breakfast is too expensive. I would like to try dinner, but it would be 250 for our family, and I would rather do another signature for that price. Meeting the Beast isn’t that important to me.

First of all - thanks for posting! I gave up on BOG that week a LONG time ago and just snagged a dinner ADR for Aug. 24 which is exactly what I wanted!

Secondly, if you don't think your kids will eat the dinner, I would ditch it. It's expensive and a big time commitment.

Lunch is good. Just make sure to pre-order as the food ordering line gets really long (though you may not have that issue at 11 am)

I haven't been to breakfast, but, for both lunch and breakfast, you can share food, so you could cut costs by sharing breakfasts.

Personally, between breakfast and lunch, I would pick the one that best fits into your existing touring schedule.

I am perhaps the only person here on the DIS that is not a fan of BOG and the 7DMT...Both overhyped and overrated... There I said it. :rotfl2:

If the OP is paying OOP then I would recommend going during lunch. It's actually ok for lunch, not great, but ok. Dinner was a big miss for me. And there is no way I'm paying $25 for a fancy donut with a French name, or $14 dollars for a bowl of oatmeal or cold cereal. Oh, they do give you frozen Entenmanns quality pastries with the breakfast entrees. If on the DDP I much prefer CP for breakfast.

I will admit, I have not been there in a couple of years, don't plan on going back anytime soon, but with the Prix Fixe dinner menu perhaps it might be worth a visit. The theming is very nice though.

If the dinner is something you really want to do and meet the Beast I say splurge and go for dinner.. $25 for breakfast isnt worth it to me for what they serve... otherwise do a very small breakfast at the hotel and keep the lunch!!!

Glad I was able to help some of you get your ADR's!

I talked a little bit with Hubs today during his lunch break. I totally thought he'd go for lunch, seeing as he wants to stay on budget. Nope, he wants to do breakfast or dinner. I'm hoping I can bring him over to the benefits of lunch tonight when we're really able to discuss it more....

We didn't care for breakfast at all. Dinner was okay, definitely a one and done for our family. I'd pick lunch. That's my plan for our next trip.

GREAT NEWS!!! I just saw on one of my many Disney FB groups that BOG has opened up reservations during the days it was supposed to be closed (the week of August 19). For months I've not been able to get anything and had resigned myself to having to skip eating at BOG on our trip. But this morning I hopped onto MDE and scored:

- pre-park Breakfast at 8:05 am on the 23rd
- Lunch at 11 am (first lunch of the day) on the 21st
- Dinner at 5:30 pm on the 23rd

Now, which one do I keep? We'd been hoping for dinner before they announced it would be becoming a prix-fixe menu. I really want to meet the Beast and want some of the grey stuff. BUT I worry it's now going to be too expensive for our family, not to mention too "much" for our kids. I like the idea of pre-park breakfast, but have heard it's overpriced for what it is.

So, fellow DISers, please advise!
Thank you for the news- I was able to get a Rez for that week!
If you are really set on meeting the Beast, I would keep dinner. We have been to both breakfast & lunch where there was no Beast.
If you are interested in pre-park opening, go for breakfast. We like the breakfast and enjoy the leisurely stroll through the empty part of the park. Getting a ride on 7DMT before the crowds is Great too!
The food at lunch is my least favorite.
Haven’t tried the new menu at dinner- you should take a look at it to be sure your family would want those choices!
