Just scheduled our engagement pics w/ Randy!

So my fiance and I will be in WDW in September and just (literally seconds ago) booked Randy to shoot our engagement photos while we're there.

I've heard so many good things about him. I'm extremely camera shy (I've put on a lot of weight in the last couple years and feel really self-conscious), but I've heard over and over how comfortable he makes people feel. And his prices were SO reasonable.

I had a hard time picking which two resorts we would visit. Most people seem to go to the Boardwalk or the Poly/GF area. I knew I wanted a some of those type of traditional romantic shots, but I also wanted to do something fun, unique and a little crazy.

I've seen some of Randy's work from less photographed resorts like ASMusic and Coronado, so I went out on a limb and suggest we start at Pop Century. That's where we're staying so logistically it's easy and I thought the bright colors and giant figures might be fun.

Thoughts? Am I nuts?

Anyway, I guess I don't have any real questions, just wanted to share my excitement. If you have any suggestions on what to where or what shots to ask for, they'd be appreciated.

Yay, how exciting! I think Pop Century would be a fun place to have your engagement pictures taken! I saw a bride and groom who took pictures at one of the All Star hotels. I can't wait to see them!

that sounds fun! i know most take them around the GF and Poly, but we'll have lots of those from the wedding, and thought something different could be fun. we're doing ours at coronado springs in november!! can't wait!!

You will LOVE Randy and his work! My mom, my sister, my niece and I all adored working with him. In fact, my sister was talking about having him do a family shoot on our next trip to Florida.

DH and I are 100000000000000% satisfied with our pictures from him!

I am with Linda (above poster). You will love Randy!!! He really is so much fun and will, I know, put you at your ease!!! He is an expert at what he does and produces the most amazing work!!! That coupled with his reasonable prices, makes him the most perfect photographer in the world IMHO!!!
We had VR pictures at BLT, Swan, Boardwalk and GF, and we had our TTD at the Poly. I would have liked pictures taken at PORS as well but there is only so many resorts you can fit in to two photography sessions . If I were having engagement photos done, like you, I would pick a fun spot like Pop to shoot at, and leave the more elegant sites for the wedding pictures. Oh, and did I mention that I love Randy.......

I know. I'm so excited. My fiance and I have been together for over three years and only have two photos of just the two of us.

I am a bit confused by the form he sent me to fax back. It seems to be formatted for a wedding with questions like number of attendants and such. I guess since these are engagement shots that I just ignore everything that doesn't apply to me?

Also, do most people bring examples of shots they like or just go with the flow? Is there anything else I need to do to prepare?

Yup the same thing happened to me when I booked my TTD session with him!! I got a wedding contract to sign. I just crossed through all that didn't apply and wrote in big letters across the top 'Trash the Dress session'
If you have specific ideas about shots, I am sure Randy will be only too happy to oblige!! We just went with the flow and trusted Randy. He really knows his stuff and knows all the best locations at WDW for beautiful shots.

You will love love love him and not regret your decisiona at all! We just took our e-pics with him a little over a week ago! At Yacht & Beach club. I am anxiously awaiting the preview pics and disc! And by anxiously I mean checking FB and his website and his blog site about 6 times a day! haha I will be sure to post when they come out!

He is laid back, easy going and easy to talk to! He talks you through it and just has you walking and relaxed with your hubby to be. Takes the akward completely away!
