Welcome to the polite and relaxed community board. Enjoy your stay and enjoy your trip to our great country.

When are you visiting Toronto? Ask away...

Hi ! we will be in Mississauga from July 8-14, DS15 is in a roller hockey tournament. The schedule for the tourny will not be posted until July 4th weekend...so I have no idea how much free time or when it will occur.

So far The Hockey hall of Fame , and the castle are on the list. The tower looks cool but some family members have height issues....so we probably won't go up. ( It will be, Me, DH DS15 and DD7)

It's so hard not being able to make plans...but just hearing about things in the area gives me ideas...

Do you know any amazing Hockey stores....I have heard there are some that will make DH and DS Really happy!! LOL

Pro Hockey Life in the Vaughan Mills mall is HUGE and from the Hershey Center ( I assume your hotel is around there) it's a short drive. My son could spend all day in there..there's a place to shoot pucks and a small rink to try ice skates on (plastic ice like surface) and tons and tons of everything for hockey. It's mostly ice hockey but I think there's some inline stuff (inline isn't very big here compared to ice hockey) and the mall itself has many stores for you and DD to shop while you're waiting! The Hockey Hall of Fame is quite big and you need a good amount of time to really go through it if your guys are the type to really read and look at everything. Are you driving or flying? We were at that tournament a few years ago and alot of the families we met from the US were coming a day early or staying a few extra after and stopping at Niagara Falls. Actually, I recall a stand that was set up at the tourny that had discount coupons for the Hall of Fame so they might do it again. Have fun and good luck to your DS!

Thanks..we are driving and wanted to stop at the falls....
I will keep an eye out for coupons....

DS plays ice also... but is having lots of fun this year with the roller...it is his 1st year on a travel roller team...

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay up here in Toronto. Looking for something to do. Canadas wonderland, Niagara falls, marineland in niagara falls, CN tower in toronto, I would sudjest centre island downtown Toronto but there is a strike going on and the ferry service is shut down. Oh yeah part of the same strike is no garbage collection. Bad stinky time to sight see downtown. Niagara on the lake has the jet boat tours.

there is a store that I shop at for ds called Just Hockey.
It is at Don Mills and Eglinton, just of the DVP.

Goalie equipment ....ice hockey...

My DS is a goalie also...there are a couple of stores that just deal with goalie stuff, one in Fort Erie which is near Niagara Falls and one in Toronto although the store in Vaughan Mills has tons of goalie stuff.
