We returned last night from 5 wonderful nights at POP. I'll post a trip/free dining report later this week. Some highlights were: Breakfast at the castle sitting by the window overlooking Fantasyland, MNSSHP on 10/6 & riding BTMRR 4 times in a row with NO wait, dinner at LeCellier and Soarin just before we left!

More later. I'm happy to answer any questions, too.

Sounds great! Glad you had a good time!

We had a great time, too. We stayed in the POP. We were in room 1119 in the 50s section, building one-Lady. I loved the location of the room.

I think if you use the bus transportation system then the 70s building might be more convenient.

I loved the food court, as well.

I will do more reporting of our experience, too.

:goodvibes Wow--those sound jsut like our highlights!!! We didn't stay at the POP though. We went in Sept., so missed the Halloween thing, but other than that we loved all the same things you did!!!!

I'm glad you had a great time. I can't wait to hear the details. Wish I was leaving soon. :rotfl:

My family just returned from Pop as well. We were a party of 16 and dressed as dalmatians and Cruellas for the MNSSHP on 10/6. We had a great time. Pop is by far my favorite value resort.

Did you use Magical Express?

Wondering how long it took from the time you arrived at the counter and arrived at POP? I talked with a Disney agent and he said that it would be only 30 minutes. I am hoping that it is quick, but is it that quick? Your experiences would really help! :goodvibes

We will be arriving at 8:30 AM & hope to be in MGM by 10-10:30. :sunny:

Getting to MGM by 10:00 would be pushing it. Here's what happens...

1. You land and wait your turn to depart plane
2. Go to Magical Express welcome desk. We waited in line about 10-15 minutes.
3. Get in the right line for your resort hotel. We waited about 30 minutes for a bus.
4. 30 to 40 minute ride to your resort from airport. If your bus isn't full of Pop Century guests, it may add guests from other resorts.
5. Wait in line to check in at Pop.
6. Move your luggage to your room or store it at the resort.
7. Wait in line to catch a bus to MGM
Don't be disappointed if you don't get to MGM until noon. That's on the late side of it. You never know what kind of lines you'll run in to. You may get lucky and have no lines. However, it's much better to be prepared for the worst and expect the best so you're not disappointed.

I thought ME delivered your luggage to your room. Have they changed the program already?

I'm sorry. I should have been more clear. We had packed a day/overnight bag and had a couple of other bags that we wanted to keep with us. It was a good thing that we did because some of our luggage didn't arrive until the following morning. However, we landed at 8:00 pm. You shouldn't have a problem. Everything that you tag through Magical Express will be delivered directly to your room.

I had read somewhere that they tell you the average time from landing to arriving at your resort is 50 minutes. That just about hit it for us. I waited in the ME line at the airport about 10-15 minutes, but then waited only about 5 minutes for our bus. We were the first stop (Pop) and arrived around in about 20 minutes. Very efficient in my opinion! Our luggage arrived within 90 minutes after arriving at Pop.

We just returned last night also from a 5 night stay at Ft Wilderness. Our friends used Magical Express and it was great. Best part was no lines on Friday October 7th at the MNSSHP. The next day the parks were packed!

We used Magical Express and it took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get from landing to POP. We waiting the longest time in the resort line for the bus, but it was only 15 minutes or so. I loved Magical Express and not having to deal with any luggage other than my carryon.
