from WL.
Let me start with the heat...it was HOT. Swimming wasn't even cooling.
Luckily some of the showers actually cooled off everything at night.
EMH in the evening is OK and lines are shorter but not that much. It was nice walking around the parks late, though.
WL was OK. Got upgraded to a Courtyard view from Woods view. I had requested bunkbeds several months ago and right before leaving, I sent a fax. They did not have any at check-in (CM said WL was sold-out) but offered to change us the next day. CM checked with room assigner and they found an upgraded room for us that day instead.
In general everything was OK and upkeep is good but I think a refurbishment may be in order shortly. They were doing some outside work while we were there. Minor things like room paint, bathroom grouting, etc., needed.
I am still amazed at some things. I saw someone with a hugh oversized mug from somewhere unknown filling up at the soda station.
Food at Roaring Forks really needs to be addressed as to more variety. It seems, like they are doing at the parks, they are trying to force people to eat in the sitdown restaurants more often or pay higher prices to do counter service.
The bus to MK was a wlelcome addition. At closing. we had about 20 people waiting for the bus and there must have been more than 200 waiting for the boat. We were back at the hotel while others were still waiting for the boat. Also, we used the bus to get to MK and used MK transportation to other hotels, etc. This cut down on the number of shared stops.
Any questions?
PS: Soarin' was incredible; Light, Motors, Action was good but nothing outrageous. (I felt for the people who wound up sitting in the only sunny section of the bleachers)
