What an awesome trip!

Just got back! Had a great time. I was the Drill sargeant everyday. Getting the kids up at 7 a.m. in order to be at the parks early. They had a wonderful time. Did all 4 Disney parks + both Universal Parks. Also did Typhoon Lagoon, Boardwalk, and Downtown Disney.
My DS age 10 experienced his first trip here. He loved it and can't wait to go back.
Looking into buying into DVC (BCV)
My SO now wants to go. We are trying to set something up for Nov. for the Epcot Food and Wine show. Just the ADULTS!! LOL
Now can anyone tell me how I can set up the little days til next trip clicker at the bottom of the Posts?
Also any other DVC owners here? Are you happy with DVC? If so where do you own? And do you like it?
Any one else have any questions please feel free to respond.
Have a Magical Day/Night

Dianne

That's my job too when we're at Disney. Get the troops up early and out the door, step 1, 2, 3, 4! Sorry I can't answer your questions, but going for an adults-only trip for the festival sounds wonderful!

Just post over on the DVC board with any questions that you have and I'm sure you will get a ton of answers.

We own at VB and VWL and love it.

I used to think it was corny when the only complaint I heard about DVC was "I wish I had bought sooner" and it turns out that it is true.

We love it and can't believe we get to experience what we do with it.

Glad to see you had a great time! I'm another happy DVC owner. This was our first trip on points and I loved it. I own at BCV but stayed at BWV this trip. That whole area is awsome!

What did your 10 year old like about Disney World? Did he get autographs?

I agree with floridafam, post on the DVC board and you'll have all the answers you need. We own at BCV and love it. It's a great location. The only complaint I have is I wish I had bought sooner, lol. Thanks for the update. An adult trip is fun. We go every September, just adults. Have fun.

We are down here right now. I am the same way about getting everyone up early. This time of year it's the only way. It is just too hot to be at the parks in the afternoon. Up early, get as much done as possible, back to resort for relaxing and swimming then back to a park after dinner.

We own the DVC, best thing I ever did. We were at Vero Beach for a few days before coming over to OKW. My parents came with us and were commenting to my husband about what a relaxing vacation this was. DH told them to enjoy it because soon the Bataan Death March would begin.

Everyone complains in the morning. Esp. 11 yr old son, but when they are cool in the pool in the heat of the day, they have to admit that I'm right.

Did you stay onsite? If so, did you enjoy your resort?

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. It was very nice. The kids really enjoyed it. And my friend and I enjoyed the Cathy's special Pina Coladas at the Cabana Bar. LOL Cathy was an excellent bartender and was very very personable!! After staying onsite we decided we would never ever stay offsite again.

MI mom of 3,

I may have asked you this before but where is Clawson?

:D

I don't think you have asked before. :) It is right between Royal Oak and Troy. A very small town.

We are planning our trip for June 24 - July 2 and I was wondering what you thought about the crowds during your trip. Were they manageable seeing you got to the parks early? Did you do any of the early entry days?

The crowds weren't that bad. We did do early entry one day to AK. Hit all the good rides and then we were out of there by 12:30. Also did an E-ticket one night to MK. That was great. DS 10 got to go on Space moutain and Thundermountain a bunch of times. We did do Splash Mountain once that night but we opted to saty away since the Mosquitos were having dinner on us! (Get it) LOL
If you get up early and know your way around the parks so yyou can hurry and get a fast pass for the popular rides you should be fine. We did stand in line for a few rides but that was okay.
How many are in your group? Kids ages?

Our kids are 13 and 10. So, we won't have to worry about little kids getting tired during the day.

The last time we went was in 2000 and it was in October. It was great weather, crowds were low. But, it's getting kind of hard to take the kids out of school now that they are older. So, we are stuck with either President's week, Easter week or summer. I think we could deal more with the heat than we could with standing in line with the heavy crowds during the vacation weeks.

We learned about Fast Pass last time we were there. It works out great. I figure we will just get to the parks as soon as they open, or try to get there for the early entry........use our fast pass as much as possible to get on the rides we really 'want'. Then back to the Wilderness Lodge in the afternoon for swimming or whatever. Probably go back to the parks at night once it has cooled off.

When you went to AK on the early entry day, were the characters out and about greeting you as you went into the park?

I can't remember seeing the Characters at Ak on EE day. But then again that was the morning I was unable to get a cup of coffee to start my day. LOL Sorry I can't answer your question. Perhaps someone else on the board can.
But I hear you can do a character breakfast at Olivias in OKW. I think thats the one. Its the Winnie the Pooh gang! Correct me if I am mistaken.
