We had a great time. We had no clue what to expect from DD's (almost 2.5yr and almost 4mo) but they did very well. We found that even though DD#1 naps every day at home there was NO way to get her to do that there.
There were several times where we were the only ones to see characters and spent a lot of time with them. We actually had CM's come up to us and ask us to go visit Mickey in MGM b/c there was noone there!! We had great spots for the parades and the characters came over to see both DD's numerous times (we saw MNSSHP parade, AK parade, and MGM parade).
We didn't do many sit down meals b/c we weren't really hungry and DD wouldn't eat, anyway. We did do Crystal palace b-fast, Sci-Fi lunch, Spoodles dinner, Raglan Rd dinner and Hollywood and Vine fantasmic dinner.

We also found that we have the monorail and bus whammy b/c our bus would pull away when we were 100 ft from it and the monorail took FOREVER to get us from MK to Epcot (we're talking almost 45 min-1hr).

We had a great trip and we're definately planning another one!! If anyone has any questions, ask away!!

Glad you had a great trip! We're going soon with DDs aged 4 and 19 mos....did you take a double stroller and if so did you have any issues getting them into it? Did they go on Haunted Mansion, or the 4yo, on Splash Mountain? Also, did they last later at night then their normal bedtimes? We're planning to rest in the afternoon as well, but not sure how that will go.

Holy Cow!! :earseek: What happened!? Why did it take so long? That's too bad, and with little ones, no less. Gsheeesh!

Glad you had a great trip though. Welcome back. :wave2:

We did take a dbl stroller. It's front and back seating. We had no issues with getting DD's into it b/c usually DD#1 was exhausted and DD#2 is only 4 months so she didn't really have a say (she was usually in a snugli, anyway). The only thing we found was that there were a ton of people (mostly kids) who would look at us, make eye contact and then dart in front of us so we would have to swerve or stop quickly.
We did have them out past their bedtimes a few times but not nightly. One day we went to MK until about noon and then headed back to rest and DD#1 napped some (most days she wouldn't, though) and then we went to MNSSHP around 5 until 11:30pm. She was fine b/c we slept in the next morning.
You won't find out how the kids will do until you have them there for a day or two.
We didn't try to take the oldest on Haunted Mansion or Splash Mtn b/c we were afraid of her reaction. We did, however, ride it's a small world about 7 times!!
I'm sure your kids will be fine and you'll have a wonderful time!!

Apparently, there was major back up of the monorails. When we pulled into the Transportation Center they were just opening the doors to let others out of another one. I would assume they were stuck in there for a while b/c when they got out they clapped and ran like hell for the stairs!!!
DH and I decided we're the whammy b/c on our honeymoon 2 yrs ago we rode the monorail once and they had to do the "break test" or whatever like 4 times so we were 30 min late to meet our friends. From now on I'll schedule the monorail for a whole morning or afternoon :rotfl2:

I am so glad you had a great time. We will be trying it next year with a 2 DD's, 1 & 6. It makes me think that maybe we might want to go at this time next year.

What did you have at Raglan Road and was it good?

We really enjoyed our dinner at Raglan rd. Dh and I both had the sirloin burger and it was the best burger I've ever had. That's saying something b/c when I was pregnant with DD#2 all I craved were burgers so I ate a ton of them!! Everyone was very, very happy with their meals (I think 2 others got shephard's pie and one had something with seafood...).

This time of year has great weather but the temps were a bit cooler than I anticipated in the mornings/late evenings so I didn't have enough warm clothes for the kids and had to do laundry a few times. No biggie but now I know better!!

You sound like us. It never fails that if we get in line for a bus, all the other buses come but not the one we are waiting for. One time whenever I walked away from the line, the bus would come. :confused3 So we tried that on another trip and it didn't work.

Once on the monorail, it started having problems so they had to stop just outside the station to have maintenance check it. Thought they had it fixed and we started out and then stopped and had to backup back to the station to unload so they could go back to the shed to get the problem properly checked and fixed.

Did you like the Snugli for your 4 month old. I'm looking for something like that. My DD will be 8 mo. old but she's a whopping 18 lbs. now. :earseek: I'm sure she'll be 22+ by then.

Any advice appreciated.

Actually, I tried to use the Snugli for DD#1 (she was 9 lbs at birth) and it hurt my back. DD#2 was only 7 at birth and is probably about 15lbs now and we were going to borrow a baby bjorn from a friend but never got together so we were stuck with the Snugli. We really liked it but Dh wore her more than I did. He has back problems and it never hurt him. I have no problems and it hurt by the right side by my neck. I could wear her for a while before I had any problems, though. She actually rode in this for a long time before we would take her off.

I know everyone prefers something different, but this definately worked for us. Have fun on your trip!! ::MickeyMo
