We just got back yesterday from a 4 night trip to WDW. If anyone has questions that I can help them with, fire away! I am happy to help!:p

I am preparing to book our WDW trip at the Poly-DSs will be 4 and 6 when we go. What building did you stay in? Did you like your location? Did your kids enjoy the new pool? Thanks! Pamela

Hi Pamela...I hope you have a great trip. We stayed in the Tokelau (sp?) building (2nd time in that building). We would love to splurge on the conceriege locations but would rather spend $ on other important things (mouse ear hats, light up twirlies, etc!). We like the building because it is one of the buildings that has been redone...no weird smells and it's on the quieter side. With small kids we are usually going to bed on the earlier side and like it quiet. The housekeeping staff is wonderful...especially on this last trip. They did the funny animals made out of towels...so creative! It's a little walk to the new pool but not more than 2 minutes. I read lots of non-positive posts about the new pool before we left and I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, we loved it. My oldest son (6) could not get enough of the slide...it was just perfect for him. My youngest is not a good swimmer yet and I didn't feel comfortable sending him down the slide because there is a point where it is pitch black and I was worried he would be scared. But he loved the zero entry and the fact that he could stand up in many locations. The pool is not enormous but we never felt like it was crowded. If I had to make a small negative comment...no drinks are allowed on the pool deck (which I can understand) but I missed my little afternoon fruity-tooty drink by the pool! The pool bar is just around the corner but the kids were too busy to want to sit at a table and watch us drink! We loved the hotel and you can not beat the convenience of the monorail! Try O'Hana's if you get a chance...my hubby and I loved it...kids didn't eat too much but they will accomodate picky eaters. A very fun atmosphere. Have a wonderful trip!

Thank you so much for taking time to answer my questions. I will add O'Hanas to our "must eat at" list for making those PS ressies. Glad that you had a great trip. Pamela :D

My boys are video game fans and I'd like to know if you made note of what games are available in the arcade. Thanks!

He's never been in more than our home little blow up pool ( he's only 1 now) but I'm sure he won't be ready for the big pool by the time we go Dec. 2002. We've stayed at the Poly before but didn't see the pools and we didn't have a child. Do they have a kiddie pool? Is it warmed water? Obviously if it's too cold...there won't be any swimming but we've done it before at that time of year so I wanted to ask.

thanks

Re: Video game selection...I was in the arcade for about an hour one day with my 6 yo...I am not sure the exact names of the games...they had the ones where you sit on like a motorcycle, car racing ones, air hockey, etc. my personal favorite, Galactica (sp?). Just a hint while I was there...I played the entire hour on Galactica on 75 cents...I think it was broke!! The games are very expensive...I went through a roll of quarters in an hour. Maybe I am not used to spending that on games...maybe that's normal!

RE: pool for one year old...the new big pool is nice because it has a zero entry area at one end and the baby could sit and just splash around there. Also, there is a quiet pool over by the Tokelau (sp?) building that is indeed very quiet and may be more likeable for you. That building, by the way, is my personal favorite. The water on the new pool was very comfortable....didn't go into the quiet pool but I would assume it is similar.

Hope this helps....Koswalt...if there is a certain game you are looking for let me know and I'll ask my son...maybe he'll know!

Best wishes for great trips for both of you!
