We just got back, the free dining plan was AWESOME! The ONLY place we had any trouble was at Earl of Sandwich, and it was all worked out eventually. They had some difficulty expressing what was/was not considered a 'beverage' to them. (apparently MILK is not).

IF you have any questions, just ask! We ate at PRime Time, Chefs de France, CRT, chef mickeys and Crystal Palace for table service. We ate at the Pop food court, Peco's Bills, Pizzafari, Cantina de San Angel, and Earl of Sandwich for counter service.

Would you purchase the plan on a future trip? Just curious we have the plan with our trip in Dec.

Well, probably. :flower:

We were actually trying to figure this out on the way home! It was awesome, I cant say enough great things about it. Not having to carry money, having everything pre-paid, not worrying about a budget, etc was great. We had no problems with anything at all.

That being said, we are usually very budget minded people and usually do only one or two sit-downs in a weeklong stay. We are by no means use to eating NEARLY as much food as we got this week!! I am usually a person to pack a jar of pb and some bread and call it dinner!

But I will definitely place STRONG consideration on getting the dining plan next time we go. The ONLY reason I would not get it would be if we were on a very limited budget and planned on eating many meals in the room. I loved the fact that because of plan, ds was able to eat plenty of healthy stuff (fruits, etc) during our stay, and if we were eating in the room I think some nutritional value would be lost. The character meals were definitely a plus too.

Wow, now that I typed it out, I think I just talked MYSELF into the dining plan :rotfl: Really, it was a great value and unless you are on the tightest of budgets, I would think it would be the way to go.

Hope this helped you!

I agree - we loved the dining plan. We had no problems with it. We found some of the CS to be a great value. Several places that didn't have chicken for kids let us get the adult chicken meal for dd (3). At Disney Quest, they let you get an appetizer (french fries) and entree, dessert and drink. And we thought their food was good. We used most of our snack credits for water (it was sooooo hot last week).

I think we would definitely purchase this plan. It was so nice not to have to worry about paying for everything while we were there.

I was there Labor Day weekend on the free dining plan. I loved it. Ate at Ohana, 1900 Park Fare and LeCellar for TS meals. Ate all counter meals at POFQ food court. Used snack at parks usually for water. I would purchase this DP on my next trip, but would love to get it for free again. :teeth:

We got back nearly 2 weeks ago with the free dining, and would DEFINITELY pay for it if we can on future trips.

Thanks everyone. We determined for us that the pre-purchase of meals was a great idea. Like you said you don't have to worry about budgeting for the main meals of the trip.

Thanks again.
