Just Returned...Room condition...Is it just us?

We recently stayed in a standard studio room on the 4th floor with a view of the BW driveway. The room was in very good condition. The only problem that I had was with the high speed internet access. Housekeeping provided a loaner cable, but the connection did not work properly. A phone number is provided for technical help. When I called, they determined that there was a problem with the room connection and would send someone over, but I decided to use dial-up instead - call me a "cheapskate". ;) They said that they would fix it after we checked out.

We had a very pleasant surprise while there. One night (Friday, 12/17) we had a message from a CM that they would be holding a test of the NYE fireworks at EPCOT between 11:30 and midnight and "apoligized for any inconvenience". Well, we love fireworks so my DW and I went out to the BW walkway bridge facing "France" to observe these fireworks, but returned just before midnight because of the cold and because we thought the test may have been cancelled. Luckily, just as we returned to our room the fireworks began and we had a great view of them from our balcony! :teeth: All I can say is that those going to EPCOT on NYE will not be disappointed. I wish we could be there, too! :)

I used dialup at BWV last month. I think $9.99 a day to check e-mail and surf a little is alot. 35 cents per call for dialup isn't bad. I thought the dialup speed was good for those purposes.

We just returned from a Christmas trip at the BWV in room 3006 a couple doors down from the Attic. Our studio was in great shape, did not notice any problems with the room.

We booked standard view and overlooked the big white tent. Not sure if this is always a standard view or just for the construction phase, but it was quiet and a great view of the canal. We liked the back door exit and actually went over to the Swan to grab a bus - seemed much closer than the BWV buses.
