I am new to this board and just returned from a 7 day Universal/WDW trip. This tip may have already been mentioned, so forgive me if this is "old news". My daughters and I rode most rides multiple times and rarely waited in line. Here's my tip:
So, everyone has already mentioned that you book your next fastpass with the app as soon as you swipe your magic band. But, if it gives you a times that are several hours away.....try putting in a specific time, then keep entering different times......try "morning, evening, etc"....your time will keep getting earlier and earlier. Finally, I would accept a specific time that was given and then "modify" that time. After modifying repeatedly, we were able to get another fast pass within 5-10 minutes. We rode Star Tours, Rock n Roll roller coaster, Expedition Everest several times in a row using this "trick." I know it sounds like a lot of work, but I did it while we were in our fastpass line waiting to ride. Hope this helps someone:))

Thanks for sharing your persistence! :) You really did get a lot of rides in - the FP record, so far, is 21 FP rides in one day in MK. Were you close or beyond??

Thanks for this tip! That's awesome! I will definitely try this. This is our first trip since 4th from the app, so looking forward to trying this.

Thanks for the tip! Having never used FP+, excuse me for asking, but is it true you can only do this AFTER you have used your 3rd pre-selected fast pass (swiped at the turnstile)? Could you do it for another park if you are hopping?

You no longer have to pick 3 FPs to begin with, you can pick up to 3 but don't have to pick 3. All you have to do is tap your MB, don't even have to ride the ride if you've booked one you don't really want to use and then as soon as you've tapped if you have no more booked you can book another one. Yes, you can book for another park after you have tapped whatever you have booked.

My wife and I did this a few months ago on our honeymoon. It was one of the first weeks they came out with the new system and boy did we ever take advantage of it. We never waited on any lines and would do at least 20 fastpasses a day at MK. I wonder how long until more and more people catch on to this and it doesn't really work as well.

Well, now that you have confirmed this on DISboards... ;)

Ha! Well we should still be good for a while since it's just the two of us. For obvious reasons the less amount of people you are looking to make fastpasses for the better chances you have at snatching up a time slot when it becomes available. I don't see this tip being as useful for let's say a family of like 5 or 6. They will have to get pretty lucky to catch an opening of 5 or 6 fastpasses at once.

This totally spoiled me though. It was my first ever trip to Disney World and never had to wait on any lines!
