We stayed at Vb for 5 ngiths in a 2 bedroom in building 12. Loved it!! It was not ready when we arrived around 1 but when we returned from lunch and a grocery stop around 3:30 it was and so worth the wait.

Loved the view. We really enjoyed the pool and beach. Our DD #1 is 3 and enjoyed several of the resort activites.

Anna really enjoyed the things we attended and I found them to be a good value. The CM's were great and interacted well with the kids.

All in all a great trip. We were saddened that the pirate ship went down for some rehab in the middle of our trip with no notice. Do you know how nice it is to tell your 3 yr old "yes honey we will play on it in the morning" to get dressed in the am and go to find it down for the rest of your trip. I realize things must be maintained but some notice the night before would have been great.

Now my only big let down of our trip came from our limited dining there. We have in the past always dined off sight but this was only a 5 night visit and I didn't want to leave the resort every evening. We ate at the Green Cabin room one night, all I can say is YUCK, oh and expensive yuck at that. But the apple martini was great. We then ate at Shutters, ditto for the above statement. The steaks were cooked right and had a nice flavor, the whipped potatoes were barely smashed potatoes with no flavor. Our group had the 3 NY dinners, a burger, and 2 kids chicken tenders for $168. We did finally get a drink refill when we asked for the check, dissappointing meal and service. Never again.

Other than that, the trip was a blast. CM's were friendly and helpful, the beach was beautiful, lots of shells, great rooms. Next summer we are skipping Disney and doing 2 weeks at VB!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 Im glad you had a great trip minus the dining. Funny that you are going to VB for 2 weeks next year and skipping WDW! :rotfl2: Funny when we 1st started going there on a split 2 week trip (1 week WDW and 1 Week VB) I was concerned that my kids would be bored and have a letdown! Ha was I sooooooo wrong. This will be our 7th August going there (DW, DD12,DS10,DD6) and I have to say my kids LOVE VB AS MUCH AS WDW!

With regards to the food... I have found that the food has gotten better at VB in general. Sorry to hear that your experience wasnt the same. But then again Im a Squid Lips fan!!!! :thumbsup2

Only 11 days until my trip to WDW and 18 until VB!!!!

Nice report. Great pics of activities with the SnowPrincess. princess: Also love that evening shot of the ocean. You had a good view. :thumbsup2

We don't normally do the restaurant scene (especially at VB $$$). :sad2: Sometimes we'll get room service. For the future here is a nice list of local restauants.

Glad you had a good time.
