My family just returned home to Illinois from a wonderful 10 day Disney vacation. We began our stay at SSR and stayed in the Grandstand. It was a great location. I was impressed with the overall beauty of the resort. We used the buses and appreciated that the pickup and dropoff point at SSR is the Grandstand first:) I own at AKV, but would stay at SSR again in a second. We visited OKW, Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk as well. I loved them all. You really seem like you are in a different part of the county with each. After 5 days at SSR we stayed for 5 more days at our home resort. I LOVE AKV, we stayed at Kidani on the 5th floor with a savannah view. I love the overall feel of the resort - very relaxing and beautiful. There was hardly a moment that I sat on the balcony that I didn't see animals. I saw some rowdy antelope, "frisky" antelope, fighting zebras (attempting to kick each other), galloping giraffe, etc. A spectacular site indeed. We spent quite a bit of time at the pool. I wish the pool was a little closer, but you can't have everything. I walked over to Jambo House and visited their pool as well. My wife wasn't a fan of the "dirty water" look. She was a little scared our girls would go under and we wouldn't see them. I was ok with it, but she is a worry-wart. Jambo is beautiful as well, but has a different feel them Kidani because of the size of the place. A lot more people. I suspect Kidani will change a little when compled though. It really had a more intimate feel than Jambo to me. We went to all 4 parks and used the EMH for each. We planned it to use the am and pm hours for the parks we visited. So, 1 day at Hollywood Studios in am and Animal Kingdom in pm. The next two days were EPCOT and Magic Kingdom in am/pm, switched on another day. Hope that made sense. 4 parks in 3 days using parkhopper. All and all a wonderful vacation and I can't wait to return.

Sounds like a fabulous vacation! Time to plan the next one!

P.S. You're right each resort has it's own charm & theme, I enjoy them all.

Glad you had a nice vacation! It sounds like you did quite a few days of non-park activity (am I right that you did 3 days at the parks and the remainder were resort days?). Sounds like a nice way to do WDW.

Yes, we did the 3 day parkhopper and the other days were resort days. BTW - I bought the 10 day parkhopper no experation from Undercover Tourist. So, I went in major debt - but the next couple times we go, the tickets will be paid for (hopefully):)

Great trip report and pictures!! Thanks for sharing!! :goodvibes
