BaciBecky - AllEarsNet is incorrect. We were on the 3rd floor of building 6 (room 6347) this past weekend. I know for sure that the rooms on our floor in our wing were non-smoking. All of them had the non-smoking signs on the doors. I can't say for certain, but I believe the middle wing on the top floor facing the river was non-smoking as well. Almost every room I saw had a non-smoking sign on it.
Also, we must have different opinions on crowds. DW and I both commented on how light the crowds were in World Showcase on Friday night. We got a good position for Illuminations right at 9:00. It was easy to move around the park as well. We thought that all parks were dead while we were there. We did not do MK on the 30th, so I can't comment on that.
I did notice it being very warm. Humid too. We did BB on Sunday before
MNSSHP. It was even warm just in a swim suit.
Winnie Pooh Fan - We had a standard view room booked. When we got there, which was at 11:30 a.m., I asked the CM if there were any upgrades available. I told him that Sat 10/2 was our anniversary (which it was). He didn't even hesitate. He even went out of his way to try and get us a waterview corner room. He couldn't get that, but he did put us in a waterview. He said the section we were in was his favorite part of the resort. Even if I didn't mention the anniversary, I think he would have upgraded us. It didn't seem that there was many people in the river view rooms. People must have booked the standards and no one asked for upgrades.
As for corner rooms, I don't find them to be noisy at all. Especially if you are on the top floor. Bottom floor maybe, but I've never stayed on the ground floor. Corner veiws are nice. I missed that this year. It does brighten the room up.
When we go back, I will put a request in for Building 5. Perfect location, and you don't have to worry about the view you get. It will either be courtyard, pool or river.
Nuke - MNSSHP was great on the 3rd, wasn't it? We walked on every ride. We had PS at LTT and got out at 6:55. Headed right to Splash Mtn and walked right on. There were only 10 other people on the ride. When we got done, I joked with the CM that we'll keep going. She said we could ride again if we wanted. Only 2 people were in line. DW wife is scared of the drop, so we got off. She only went on for DS (4 1/2). This was only his 2nd time on it. He loves it. The picture afterwards had Dad and Son smiling with Mom screaming.

They had to shut the ride down for a while shortly after we got off for some reason, so I don't know if that is why there was no one in line. I wish I would have had the CM take a picture of us in the log with no one in line. That doesn't happen too often. We walked on every ride except the Speedway in Tomorrow Land. That was only a 5 - 10 minute wait.
