Just back from a short week-end stay and I am working on my trip report- will have it posted soon! Just wanted to say this was our fourth stay this year and it was perfect in every way! I was told the resort was at 100% occupancy and it still did not feel crowded at all. The parks were packed and it was about 100 plus degrees every day-thank goodness for fotl- we didn't wait for one ride all week-end! I rode bilge rat barges for the first time this trip and it is my favorite all-time ride of any park ever!!! I LOVED it!! I can't wait to go back!!

Thanks Macraven! Thank you also for all the advice you have given me - it was all perfect! It was because of your help-and Damo's , Bubba's mom, Phantom, Alexandnessa, etc.... that we decided to take the plunge and head to Universal with our son in the first place. One of the best decisions we have ever made.

Welcome Back! It is such a spectacular hotel, isn't it? At the rate you're going, you will be Platinum in no time :teeth: Then you will be spoiled by the suites!

wb dsmom, were you there on Aug 2, the rainy day? if so what did you do all day - we were in ponchos at US. LOL

Hi Goofy! I can't wait to get to Platnium! We haven't stayed in a suite yet at Universal and I am really looking forward to it!

Hi Cass! We arrived after the rain was over on Friday night- we were there for the HEAT! I was born and raised in Florida and it even felt hot to me. We did the bilgerat barges repeatedly and just stayed soaking wet!

Yeah it sure was hot - LOL but you know what? one day it was 97 in Orlando and 105 in Toronto - so it was cooler there!

But it was a DRY heat right? LOL. People always get to me when they say that! It's not the heat but the humidity. It has been 100 plus degrees every day here since we got home so I am getting used to it. You know it's hot when your pool feels like bath water.
I don't know what kind of camera you have but you take great pictures!

Hi Bubba's mom- I'm trying to get started on the trip report but life keeps getting in the way!:rotfl2: We have EEG scheduled for our son tomorrow so after that I can sit down and get started. We took your advice on the lockers by Wimpy's and it worked out great- did I mention we LOVED the popeye ride:yay: We also ate at Margaritaville again and loved it- I think that will become something we have to do on every trip.

Glad the lockers worked out well for you and you loved Popeye.....our family does it at least 6 times in a row...ain't no gettin' around it! We love Margaritaville too....a MUST do at least once each trip....(last year we ate there twice in 4 days :rolleyes1 )

Glad you had a great time....I look forward to your report :thumbsup2

Hi Bubba's mom - the last time we were there was for two nights and we ate at Margaritaville twice also:rotfl2: I just love the place- it has such a nice feel to it! What do you order there? We usually just do the cheeseburgers but would like to try something different this time.

I've had the turkey club (in my TR), delicious! DH had the jumbalya ...which he usually gets... everything is good there....can't go wrong. Oddly enuf, I (personally) have never had the cheeseburger in Paradise.... :confused3 Maybe someday....:rolleyes1

Hi Mac! You are so funny!
Bubba's mom- I will be sure and order something more adventureous this time! I feel like the cheesebuger is such a cliche I feel almost guilty ordering it- how silly is that?:rotfl2:

As much as I love the CIP @ Margaritaville, I'm with you ... it's almost a cliche. If you want to live on the "wild side" try the french dip at the Hard Rock Cafe!

Glad you had fun. Looking forward to your trippie!

I didn't even know they had a french dip and I love them- shows how much I read the menu:rotfl2: I will be sure and try it next time! BTW- I LOVE your trip reports! I think that is why I am stalling. After reading yours and Bubba's moms and Cass'- mine will be boring!!:rolleyes1 I will try to get to it soon.

dsmom, i positively know your trip report, any way that you write it, will be super!

Please, we love ALL trippies! Don't kill yourself writing a report; we read 'em all anyway! I was a composition major in college so I type and write fast. Most of my time is taken up with trying to upload pics that I've taken primarily to amuse myself! Anyway, can't wait to hear all about it!
