Hey guys!
We returned home late Saturday from an 8 day trip and I thought I would share the highlights. I'm not sure I'll be writing a trip report... but wanted to share the good stuff and also thank you guys for the info before the trip. On our first day we went to MK (21st) and arrived nice and early just as you guys suggested. We went straight to Fantasyland and did all of the kiddie rides first to get them out of the way before the lines got bad. Since this was our first trip, I don't know exactly what the crowds should be like but there were a lot of people there. However, in the 3 days (yes, only 3) we spent in the Disney parks we waited at most maybe 15 minutes for a ride. We did not receive any "dreams" but did see lots of the dream fastpasses. So, here are our highlights...
MK - day 1
1. Very little wait time for rides
2. Very polite and friendly people and CM's
3. Fastpasses ROCK!
4. Lots of character sightings and autographs
5. Tink - we didn't even attempt to "wake Tink" but thank you to whomever mentioned that the kids could "see" Tink anytime. I forget which ride we were getting on, but I looked over and saw the Tink store and took the kids in. The CM told us what to do and the kids took turns peeking into the keyhole to see Tink. They thought that was the absolute coolest thing ever.
MGM - day 2
1. As we went inside a CM approached us and said she spotted our "first trip" badges and gave us some advice on character sightings and parade viewing.
2. Indiana Jones - As we were entering the show my oldest DS was wearing his first trip button and the CM said that since it was our first trip and he was so cute and friendly, she was having us seated in the VIP section. We got great seats and my DH even got picked to be an extra (which turned into a very traumatic experience for DS 4).
3. Saw a new Disney commercial being made
MK - day 3
1. Peter Pan and Wendy played follow the leader with my DS 6 and DS 4.
2. Both boys got to ride in the front of the tram at the end of the night and received their cards and stickers.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something and might have to add more later. We absolutely loved Fantasmic. We had great weather and a great time.
