We had a great time at BWV and the biggest surprise was how much my DS loved Community Hall! He was always wanting to get back there in the afternoon. My question is do any other of the WDW DVC locations have anything like that or is it unique to BWV?

TIA for the help.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves so much!!

We haven't traveled with youngsters to OKW, but there is a community center there. We only went to take out some movies, but there were always kids around.

Bobbi :)

OKW and SSR have community halls. None at BCV or VWL.

Glad you had a great time on your trip! :)

Thanks everyone. I think I may start another thread asking about the other 2 community halls. The one at BWV was such a hit!

Thanks again for the help.

We spent a week at Saratoga Springs in March - and only went to the parks 2 days. We spent a LOT of time hanging out at the resort. My DS LOVED the community hall at Saratoga Springs. His favorite were the free playstation games. He met all the cast members and would spend some time hanging out there in the afternoon. He also participated in a couple of the craft activities - and took a fishing trip one morning.

Do you have to be a kid to love community hall at BWV? DW and I go there at least two or three times during our vacations. Air hockey and ping pong...what could be better.

Glad to hear you had a great trip at BWV.

Wow - free playstation at SSR ..
at the Community Hall ?

Will be there in October.

Thanks for the info.

My Ds's (7 and 9) and Dh LOVE Community Hall! They spent part of every day there.

Last trip was at SSR and they preferred CH over the parks! They made friends and enjoyed the PS2 and ping pong and air hockey. They used their KTTW cards to check out the PS2 games and other equipment.

Dh played basketball almost daily and we had shuffleboard tourneys.

We also had a puzzle klatch going and that was nice and relaxing to sit there and talk with other members while putting together a 1000 piece puzzle. Im not a "puzzle person" but I enjoyed talking to Disney fans and it was more social and relaxing. The staff is great and really involved. They left our puzzle out all week and we would all meet up in the evenings to work on it and talk about our days activities. SSR is nice because it is 2 large rooms. It was great to sit in the AC in the afternoons and the main pool and mug station are right outside and AP is up the steps.

Their was one family that sat for hours and did ceramics. I want to do that next trip. And the Disney Florist class was popular too. I regretted not doing that one and enjoying that beautiful arrangement in our 1 bedroom during our stay.

jjohnson posted a schedule for SSR a few posts back. They seemed to have the most scheduled activities of the 3. Most nights the last activity was 8:30 pm.

Another reason SSR is such a great resort!!!!
:teeth:

Yes, free playstation 2 games in the CH at SSR. DS was introduced to the Star Wars LEGO game during this trip. DH enjoyed beating up Jar Jar (LOL). We also had fun playing ping pong. In this area, there's a large screen TV that they show movies and the Disney channel. A great escape for a couple of hours!

I remembered that we also played shuffle board - and they have a nice basketball area. It's near the tennis courts. Lots of fun - and FREE. Can you tell that's my favorite four letter word :rotfl:

We also loved using BWV's CH--we checked out some DVD's and also got life jackets for our little ones.

The CH is very cool at SSR--lots of crafts and toys!
