Stayed at Bonnet Creek from first visit. Stayed 12/22-12/29 stayed in 3 Bedroom tower 2 lake view. (638). We are DVC members (used up all our points) and stayed "off property" for first time in years.

The positives:
- check-in was quick and room was ready prior to 4PM
- I avoided "parking pass" and unplugged unit phones to avoid potential sales calls
- room was tremendous, in good condition, plenty of room kitchen was ample.
- all interaction with staff was wonderful, staff was efficient, friendly and professional.
- recreation desk had ample supply of mini golf clubs, pool towels
- pool bar and restaurants and coffee shop were open with extended hours and had good service.
- security was visible at night walking parking lots.
- grounds well maintained.

Negatives
- no access to disney transportation. We did not use shuttle service since we had cars and Annual passes provided free parking.

While we would definitely stay here again, our preference is always to stay on property. Most trips we fly and thoroughly enjoy magical express, and never needing a car once we land. I would give the resort 5 stars.

So glad to hear this. I just sent in my confirmation for 8 days here in August.

I see you mention mini golf, is there a charge for this or is it included in the cost of the resort? Could be a fun after park day thing to do.

there are 6 of us and we are looking to stay here. Few questions: is parking included? No housekeeping, so are we required to clean and wash everything before we leave? Are the other amenities included or is their a fee?

I keep saying that we are going to stay there one day. I have read so many good things about it. Free dining has kept us onsite, but I may still consider it for our next trip since there will be more of us going.

How did you manage fast passes? Did get them with your AP? That's my main concern at this point.

There is no fee for parking. There is no list of things to do before checking out. You do not need to do laundry or dishes. Just check out. Recreational activities like mini golf are included. Just need to check out items at the activities desk. There are some kids activities run by staff that may have a nominal fee (like crafts), but I can't remember for certain

Not required to but common courtesy to run dishwasher and throw trash in trash chute at end of hall. No need to strip beds etc.

Would you mind telling me how cold the pools were? I am thinking about this resort for christmas next year and I am looking for a well heated pool. We have stayed in Orlando in Dec before and I know it can fluxuate wildly. I am also toying with a pool home so that we can keep the pool at a decent temp but Bonnet Creek is my first choice

We are here now and the pools are heated. I would guess they are at least 80 degrees. My son and I went swimming the other day and it was only 60 degrees outside, but the pool was nice and warm. Getting out and back to the room was a different story! :rotfl2:

We were there from Dec. 20-Jan 1st. Temps varied from 87 to the low 50's. People were in the pools the whole time! The teenagers in our group spent lots of time in the pools--mostly in the lazy river at Bldg. 5. Our DD said that it felt like bath water, and was by far the warmest pool. She did say that all the pools felt nice, though.

Please tell me about the cleanliness of the rooms.I am also a DVC member but am going to a conference2/6-2/9 with my boss and the rates seem reasonable but have never stayed offsite.

going in 3 weeks. always good to hear a postive report from where you are going to be staying as well! thank you! :beach:

stayed there for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We live in FL and go to Orlando for long weekends frequently. Always rent a condo because we like to have breakfast/coffee without getting dressed, separate bedrooms for teenagers and a fridge to store leftovers but miss the resort pools, lounges, and activities. This is the best of both worlds! Get to have the full kitchen and separate bedrooms that a condo has but still get really cool resort pools, lazy river, gorgeous landscaping.

Was similar to Disney. We had zero concern with unit. Exterior of building was well maintained, no litter.

Did not have magic bands, so did FP old school. While we were there AK had switched to FP+, and made FP selections at kiosk.

The good thing was that we were able to make 3 FP selections at one time, did not need to run to ride to get FP just Kiosk. The bad was they had just switched over so a bit disorganized,

I have stayed here three times, I am an owner at Wyndham.

Previously I have stayed on site at Pop, Poly, Contemporary, AK Lodge, and Port Orleans.

I the Wyndham, mostly because of the units themselves. I have gotten used to staying at timeshares and when not available renting apartments on vacations.

I like the extra room, the kitchens (and the savings that comes with that), the kids having their own room, and having a second bathroom.

The grounds are fantastic, the pools are very nice.

The only thinks you miss out on are Early Entry, the Disney Transport system (the resort shuttles are not that great, I usually just drive and park at whatever park we are starting off in), and there is no Disney themeing (we really do not care about that)

I suppose now FP+ is better on site as well.

Last time we stayed in one of the towers on the 11th floor and had a great view of Illuminations.
