Last week, my DH and I spent 2 nights in an OKW one-bedroom villa (6226) in which the new wood floors had been installed. They were installed on a diagonal in the great room, hall, and bedroom. The tile in the entry, bathrooms, and laundry was left in place. No other hard surfaces had been replaced. I can understand that this surface will probably be much easier to clean, but it sure doesn't contribute to the continuity of theming in the unit. Maybe they plan to alter other surfaces to pull the look together. And there was a noticable echo in the unit. The exteriors of the buildings looked recently refurbished. Everything had a neat and tiddy appearance. The two buildings ( 63 & 64) across from ours were still blocked off. There was exterior work being done there, but I don't know what else. Just FWIW.

This was reported several weeks ago as well. When I was there a couple weeks ago, I asked the manager about this. He said it had been installed in one unit to see how it functioned. They have not made any decisions yet on exactly which wood floor will be used, and it will likely NOT be in the bedroom. You need to contact member satisfaction and tell them your thoughts about it so they get the feedback.
