and it was great!

i saw so many small children ahving meltdowns - i felt so sorry for them but i could just walk away and go do my own thing.

i loved sitting in the restaurants and people watch.

so for every solo traveller out there - have fun and make the most of it!

Aren't solo trips wonderful? Ah, yes-the meltdowns! I remember.... One thing I love to do when I'm solo is to talk to a child (actually ask them about their day-they'll take over from there) in line to make the time go quicker for them, or to help out the "pack-mule" Moms with the stroller, extra clothes, bags, etc. Then afterwards, I can go back to my nice, quiet solo time, knowing I've helped someone for a few minutes.

Sounds heavenly! I am still enjoying every minute my boys are little and seeing the magic in their eyes.

Once they're grown, and we go solo, don't know how it will feel...but I'll suffer through it :teeth:

One time when I there there there was a boy who was having a meltdown. He was maybe about five, and he was being held by his dad. The dad couldn't see me but the boy could. I smiled at the boy or something, just distracted him, and he stopped crying. The dad probably wondered what happened to make him suddenly stop crying! :sunny:

the last time I was there was with my gson and dd while waiting for the bus back to the resort from ak these two boys started talking to us they told us jokes and everything they were with their gpop it was nice! :thumbsup2
