Just Returned From 8 days @ POR w/ Pics

Pictures can not tell how beautiful this place is. We had a great stay. I wish we could have spent one day at the Resort just to look around. You should have seen the look on my kids (12 & 16) faces when I suggested it.

We stayed in Magnolia Bend # 8568 on the lower level

Beautiful 5 minute walk from our room to Rivermill for breakfast

I really need to dig out my photos from the first time I stayed there (then Dixie Landings). It was brand new, and I remember commenting that it was going to be gorgeous when the landscaping filled out, and boy was I right!

Great photos! We were there at the same time you were. It's such a lovely resort. My Mom, who lives near Orlando and came to visit us one day, commented that she liked it so much that she would love to stay for a night or two just for an in-town getaway.

I too think that POR and POFQ are lovely resorts. I especially enjoy the walk between the two resorts at night.

This is one of the most beautiful resorts on the property. And it's not even a
Deluxe! It just goes to show, Disney does it right.

Yes, the food court was nice. We only ate breakfast there though. I love the Mickey waffles.

I am so glad we chose this resort for our stay in December. Was it as peaceful as the pics are making it look. I know we are going for Christmas and there will be kids everywhere...but I don't see a single car in any of your pics. I truly want to stay in a mansion though...I'm not the rustic type to appreciate AB.

I think these are the most beautiful photos I've seen of POR! I can easily imagine walking down that beautiful pathway every morning, enjoying the atmosphere.

I would really like to try Riverside but I don't like the rooms in Alligator Bayou and I know there are no guarantees regarding room assignment.

What did you think of your room? Any pics? Did you face the river?

Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing these. We'll be there in September and I know that I'll be in Alligator Bayou in a WV room on the ground floor, not sure of the room # but it was the only accessible WV room available. A view of the river would be amazing but just being at POR will be enough for me! I fully intend to explore the grounds as much as possible!

So glad you enjoyed the resort! We stayed at POFQ in '05 and absolutely fell in love with the resort. It is peaceful, serene, romantic, lively, and amazing.

Thanks for posting the pictures. DH and I are going on a trip in Jan/Feb and are debating between PORS & CR. I'd love to be on the monorail but the lack of theme bothers me abit. PORS really looks beautiful.
