Just returned from 11 fabulous nights at WL!

What a great place!!

We all just loved everything about this wonderful hotel. We have three almost grown kids (14,18 and 21) so we booked two rooms. We were upgraded at checkin from woods view to courtyard view. Our rooms were 6119 and 6121 and they overlooked Silver Creek Falls and the pool. We loved sitting on our balcony each morning and evening and watching the ducks swimming. All of the CM's were great, the mousekeepers were very nice and gave us extra towels, a fridge, anything we needed very fast.

We ate at Whispering Canyon for breakfast once and liked it. It was loud and fun but once was enough for me. We grabbed quick snacks at Roaring Forks quite a bit. We ordered room service once late at night for pizza and that was fun.

We mainly used the buses but did use the boat a few times. I feel the transportation was fine, sometimes you had to wait, sometimes not. I have previously stayed at All Star Sports, POP and Riverside and I think they were all about the same as far as waiting for buses.

That's all I can think about now, I would be happy to answer any questions.

Did you have connecting rooms and if so did you request them when you made your ressies or at check in? We are taking my niece and friend (both 15) next year and want 2 rooms, but want to be sure they are connecting

Yes I did request connecting rooms but we had adjoining which means they did not have a door between them but were side by side. I think it may have been because my children were older because when I checked in I was asked if this was okay or would I like to wait for connecting rooms to become available. We just have driven 18 hours through the night and were exhausted so I took the adjoining. If my children were younger I would have waited. But I'm so glad I took them because I felt these rooms were awesome!

I'm sure if you really want connecting they will accomodate you. WL is a great place! Have a great time!

My dd7 and I were right down the hall from you! We were in #6125! We loved the view of the pool and the lake. Unfortunately, our balcony had one of the decorative wood railings, so we couldn't see anything if we sat in the chairs. Anyway, the room was wonderful - very clean and fresh. The housekeeper left the neatest towel arrangements on my dd's bed. She left 3 ducks in a canoe, a large dalmation dog with spots, and a slide with my dd's new stuffed animals playing on it (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger). And the best part: I got in a 30 minute nap while my dd played with all of it!!!
This was my 1st visit to the WL, and I hope it won't be my last!!! I'll try to post more about our stay later when I have a bit of free time. Vacation's over - back to the grindstone!

That is so neat!! My DH and I did not receive any towel animals in 6119 but my kids did get a toothbrush holder that was a rabbit in 6121. I'm glad you had a great time.
I know what you mean about back to work. Yuk! Oh well I still have tomorrow off.

Are the Crowds starting to pick up? I wonder how many people will actually be arriving tomorrow (like I am) or if they've been down there the whole weekend and will head home on Tues?

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, you are probably gone by now. We were there for two weeks and I saw a big difference in the crowds the second week so yes it will be crowded. If we go in June again I will try to go mid month. The crowds close to the 4th of July weekend were bad. Test Track was 180 min. wait and they didn't have fast pass!! When we did get a fast pass for soaring (Loved it!) we had to wait 6 hours to use it, but that worked out.

why didn't they have fastpass at TT? Because they'd run out? Or they didn't have it even in the morning?

I guess they ran out of FP by the time we got there. It wasn't that late though, maybe 11am or 12PM. We seemed to hit Epcot later than the other parks, that was our fault. Hopefully they had them early in the morning but we just missed it.
