I don't often post here...more of a lurker. :D If I can provide any answers to your questions, I will do my best to help out. One thing I will tell you outright -- my stay was the best I have had in a long time.

We really enjoyed our stay at WL. Everyone was helpful and the atmosphere is one that must be seen in person. Upon check in we were assigned a room on the first floor with a view of basically the bushes. After heading right back to the front desk and letting them know I wasn't paying these rates for a view of a bush and to be stuck in the corner away from civilization, they glady reassigned us to the 4th floor (Rm.4145) and the view was spectacular. You look out over not only the pool, but also the lake. I would stay away from anything on the 5th floor if you are like us and do not smoke.
We rented the Mouseboats at the lodge and really enjoyed that. You can really get some great views of the Majic Kingdom and GF on the water.
Transportation was excellent either by boat or bus. The only quirk may be that if you don't like the boat, you have to take a bus to the TTC and then Monorail or Bus to get to MK. We never waite more than 5-10 minutes for any bus from the WL.

I was wondering if you could compare WL to CSR (I see you stayed there in 2000). We are planning 9 nights at CSR (my in laws have a convention and we're meeting them). My kids saw the WL on the Travel Channel and want to stay in the "bunk bed rooms". CSR looks beautiful and the pool nice. WL looks cozy. Do you think they are similar as far as quality? How about transportation ease? I know CSR is far from MK but WL is far from MGM and Epcot. Are they similar in "wait times" or "travel times" to various parks? Thanks for any light you can shed on transportation and quality between the 2 resorts!

Josie,
By the way, your insight and all the pictures and info that you provided were the main reason we stayed at WL this time instead of AKL or GF.;) I forgot to convey my gratitude.
