Just returned, found out some stuff I thought I would share

I'm hoping that LS & Crush is open in 10 days when I am there, we missed it in April. But, if I recall the other info I read here, it is supposed to be closed before we arrive. Oh well - maybe in Dec.....

Glad to hear that your child was able to order off the adult menu if the children's was not to her liking. We have the dining plan and I don't think we'll have any problem with the kids menu/adult menu thing. However, we have an ADR at 50s Prime Time and my DD will definitely want something from the adult menu so I am hoping they let her order from it. Otherwise, I'll have to pay out of pocket. Personally, I can't see the harm in offering her a child's size portion of something from the adult menu, but I'm sure that's just my opinion. We'll see what happens.

Glad you had a great trip. We're going in October so I guess we'll get to see the villains.

Glad you had fun and thanks for the tips. It's really important to keep in mind that these are simply information boards. My theory is whatever kids like to eat is great. After all, it's vacation in Disney World.

Sounds like you had a great time!!! I wish the Living seas would be closed for only 2-3 weeks. They say it will shut down August 21st through late November. That like 2.5 months almost.

Thank you for posting about everything you mentioned and, listen, just because there are some folk here who may know more about the workings of WDW than is reflective of a healthy, well-rounded life (and that would certainly include me!), that doesn't mean your information wasn't very helpful to those who just tuned in.

I was very cordial in my response. I did not judge. I put all morality aside and said to do whatever your own morals dictate. I never mentioned my viewpoint. I was only trying to illustrate that what was said ("if you on the dining plan and have children, you do NOT need to order off the childrens menu.") was a contradiction to what was printed in Disney media on the subject.


Continue on everyone...I am not so gracefully bowing out of this conversation as it seems as though I am not welcome.

I'm just jealous that you got to be immersed in the park for 7 days! We are heading down for a quick trip next month, I wish we were staying that long!

Glad you had a good time and ALL of you ate well. The dining plan was one of the main reasons we decided to take that quick trip!

As of right now, next week's schedule is showing AK & MGM both having an evening EMH on Aug 23

I just looked at Disney's website, and it shows a morning EMH for MGM on 8/23 and an evening EMH for AK on that night.

I've never seen multiple parks with an evening EMH on the same night. Maybe I'm missing something.
