We just returned from our week long trip and we went Universal for the first time..on Tuesday. We could only spend one day, so we picked Island of Adventures. We loved it. We were all very impressed with the theme structures. The Hulk very quickly became mine, DS(17) and DH's favorite. I liked the Hulk better than the Dragons...although it was fun too... we tried both ice and fire and couldnt' really decide which of those was our favorite. DD(9) loved Pterodon Flyers and rode it about 10 times she also loved Spiderman. The lines moved quickly and the crowds were great. We ate at the restaurant by the Jurassic river ride and found the food to be better in taste and price than what we have had at Disney. The rotisserie chicken was excellent. We all got souveniers....DS had to get a t-shirt at Bubba Shrimp, DD got a Dr. Suess pillow and the adults settled for a Starbucks coffee on the way out
. It was hot... hot... hot... but the river barge ride was a soaker so we cooled off.... when I say soaker, I mean all parts of us were wet, soaked. All in all... we will go back to Universal, especially when the Harry Potter part is completed. I guess the only disappointment was the Jurassic River ride, it was what I was looking forward to the most.... I loved the drop, I could do it over and over again. But, I was expecting a bit more scary dinosaur stuff in the ride, but I enjoyed it none-the-less.
Thanks for all the pre-trip tips.... it was great time.
