We just got back from our trip. We stayed in Disney for 7 nights and then HRH for one night. We checked out of our Disney resort on Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) - not a minute too soon. It was getting crazzzzzy.

HRH was great - our second time at this resort. With FOTL access we had time to do everything that we wanted at both parks plus have time to swim at the HRH pool. The regular wait times on Wednesday for Shrek and JN were 2 hours! We waited maybe 15 minutes. One thing we noticed... 2 entire rows of seating in JR were closed (covered up). ET and Earthquake closed for technical difficulties but reopened later. It wasn't that big a deal for us, but I felt bad for the people waiting in the regular lines.

On Thanksgiving day the park actually seemed a little less crowded. We had to leave the parks at 3:30 to go to the airport. Thanksgiving day at the airport was slow and seemed deserted. Our airplane was half full. It was a great day to travel. :D

We did the same thing last year...we spent T-day and the day after at the parks and stayed at HRH!!!! FOTL is SUPER!!! The parks were PACKED...as in it was hard to walk! But our longest wait was 15 min!!!:hyper:

Glad to hear you had a good time. How was the service at the hotel?

We only stayed one night, but the service was great. Everyone was very nice. I wished we could have stayed longer - I love the atmosphere at the Hard Rock!

How was the water slide at the Hard Rock? Our kids will be 10 and 6. THANKS

dimimi, your kids will love the slide at the HRH! It is so much fun. I lost track of the # of times my kids went down the slide. My 8 year old actually wanted to leave the parks so she could go back to the pool and down the slide. In fact this year she talked me into going down it so I can say from experience it is fun. There is a little drop close to the end where you pick up a little speed. Just a little note my kids liked the HRH slide over the portifino slide. However they did like the atmosphere at the portifino pool also. If you have time you've got to check out the pools at the other resorts also. The RPR did not have a slide but they did have water volleyball and a large water play area.

have a great time! :D
