Had a great 4 night cruise on the Disney Wonder on March 8 for our first family cruise.

The highlights.....characters everywhere; on the ship, on the Castaway Cay island. The musical shows were AWESOME....especially Toy Story. The farewell party, sail away parties were great. Enjoyed the character dancing at the main lobby too.

Our cabins were made twice a day...one in the morning and again for turned-down service. Ahhhhh.

My 12 DS year old loved the kids club. He always wanted to be there. My DD 10 loved the snorkeling on CC.

Another highlight is when my 10 year old daugther and 6 year old son was asked to be one of the dwarfs for the musical Golden Mickeys.

Temp. was a constant 80 degrees -- wonderful, no rain.

What I didn't like is Nassau island...the pushiness on the locals there to utilized their products. After 15 minutes of the constant hassle...we left to go back onto the Wonder ship.

Any questions?

My daughter and nephew also got asked- I just loved seeing them on stage- it's a thrill, isn't it.

Off the top of my head....confessions of a Shopaholic, Bedtime Stories, Jonas Brothers, Bolt. However, we never did partake with the movies......too much other things to do on the ship!!!!

We go on a 4 day Wonder cruise in three weeks. Would you recommend staying on the ship for Nassau day instead?

My boys are 9 and 5, and I just wanted to be sure there would be enough for them to do onboard that day.

Thanks!

Oh, and did your kids use the arcade at all?

Well, we didn't sign up for any of the excurisons for Nassau. There's is a neat dophin swim excursion you can do at Nassua around $90 or so per person, about 3 hours long.

Other than that, we just decided to stay on the ship, tons of things to do on the ship. Kids clubs are still available.

I have four kids 3, 6, 10, and 12.

No, my kids never needed to use the arcade to occupy themselves. So much for the kids to do on the ship!

Thanks!

Anything you wish you had done at 3 weeks oput that would have made the trip easier/better?

Right now I'm trying to figure out how much to budget for souvies, pics, etc.

I do recall the spa packages were cheaper on the day of Nassau. I didn't pay attention to Castaway Cay however, we were too eager to be on that island.

golfnsuch ---

I paid a package for the pictures -- excellent quality with decorative borders and such. There were two sizes 6 x 8 and 8 x 10. I paid $84 for 10 6 x 8 and the shutters cast member gave me one free 6 x 8 **pixie dust**.

I don't remember what I paid for the 8 x 10 package. I only bought two or three pictures.

80% of the pictures were 6 x 8.

The kids didn't ask for souvies but I bought myself a DCL cruise ship Christmas ornament for our tree -- $20.00.

You'll have a great and wonderful time. The cruise was awesome!!

How was the water temperature on Castaway Cay? Last time we went in early march it was too chilly to swim. We are going in early April this time and I hope it's a little warmer!

I don't know the temperature but it was doable. All my kids swam a lot, husband too. It was glorious.
