How was the food at the Biergarten? Are ADR's necessary for lunch?

We have an ADR for SciFi and WCC and cannot wait to go!

How was your dinner at Kona and at the CP? We will be trying these for the first time in September and have heard all good things so far.

The food was OK at Biergarten. It wasn't as good as it was last time, but it was still pretty good. The entertainment was on stage for maybe 10 minutes when we were there. ADR's are necessary for lunch! I would go again.

By all means go to the WCC! Great atmosphere, food, service. However, if you are going to Sci-Fi only stop in for a milkshake. The restaurant is really well designed and original, but the food isn't up-to-par with the prices. :sad2:

We didn't go to dinner at Kona. Just lunch and breakfast. Anyways, the food was some of the best we have had in WDW. We will definitely be returning to the Kona! As for the CP, I am not so sure. It was expensive, and we hardly got any character interaction. I mean, almost all of them (except Tigger) skipped our table. The food and service were excellent though. :thumbsup2

I was wondering about your experience at the Rainforest - food and ambiance?

I was not crazy about the Rainforest Cafe. The restaurant was really interesting and unique, but the food was awful. I got a trio entree which included coconut shrimp skewers which were out of this world delicious. It also had steak which was OK, but on the tough side. The low point was the ribs. They were overcooked (really really watery) and were composed of mostly fat. :scared: I would return here again and just order the coconut shrimp skewers.

I've never heard of Captain Cook's.
Where is it?
Thanks!

Captain Cook's is the counter service place at the Polynesian. It is in the Great Ceremonial House. :)

How about dinner at the Crystal Palace? We have done breakfast there many times, but never dinner. I booked dinner for our next trip, and I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake.:scared:

We enjoyed our dinner at the CP. The food and service were excellent, however we got almost no character interaction. Most of them except Tigger skipped our table. :confused3

I think I would have enjoyed breakfast more.

I'd like to know more about your lunch at Kona's. What did you have? Was it very hectic or pretty quiet? I like eating my big TS meal at lunchtime, and am thinking of doing this one.

We really enjoyed eating at the Kona, so much that we dined there twice. Once I had the chicken cesar salad which was excellent, and the other time I had the pulled pork sandwich which was really good. The restaurant was on the quiet side, but it was still kid friendly. Service was quick and friendly.

PS: Try the white chocolate cheesecake for desert! :)

We have ADR's at the CP during one of the MVMCP nights---then we're doing the party: we've thought about Rainforest for lunch---can you give me the good and the bad on both these places? THANKS!

We liked the CP and would return if there was more character interaction. In the hour that we were there, we only saw Tigger. All of the other characters passed our table.

How was your dinner at Nine Dragons? What did your order?

We liked the Nine Dragons so much, we went there twice during our trip. Both times I got the General Tso's chicken. It was the best General Tso's I have ever had. We also had the tri-star appitizer, which was good. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely return to this restaurant. :)

Did you have the "grown-up grilled cheese" at Captain Cook's? If so, how was it?

No, I didn't but I saw someone who had one and it looked kind of gross.

How was LeCellier for lunch? I have eaten dinner there but never lunch. This will be my first time as I could not get an ADR for dinner.

Le Cellier was one of the best meals we had in WDW. The food was supurb, and the service was exceptional! :)

How early were your Kona breakfast ADRs? Also, how quick was the service? We're going there before we head to a park and I'm a little worried about time. Is an hour feasible?

Our ADR time was 9:30 AM. The service was quick, so we were out of there in about 40 minutes. :)
