Just Reserved Kona Cafe!

Okay, listening to everyone here and seeing pictures of Tonga Toast made me wish that I had made ressies for Kona Cafe for our upcoming trip. We are already paying for two of our meals out of pocket (we are on DDP but have some 2 TS meals planned) so I thought, What is one more? I called half heartedly thinking that breakfast before MK opened would be more than filled, but I got a 7:30 reservation! I was so excited.
Can my DS order a Tonga Toast off the adult menu if I am willing to pay for it? DD will be old enough to order from adult menu. Maybe I'll just order one and ask for an additional plate to split it between them. DS could order some eggs off the kids menu for DD and he could have her bacon and half of the Tonga Toast. Anyways, I am going to Kona for Breakfast now!

From our experience, at 7:30 am you won't need an ADR. We had a 7:30 ADR at Kona on our last trip (during Jersey week) and we were the only ones in there before 7:45, and when people did start arriving after us, they were all walkups. I think before 8:30, it's not an issue. BTW, my DH and I split Tonga Toast and fruit platter and we were full. We're going again this trip, but I'm going to make ADR for 8:00 at the earliest.

I'm sure your DS can order off the adult menu, especially for this item. It is pretty large, so unless he is a big eater, he may not be able to finish it (just to let you know).
